Very poor documentation

I agree totally with @P. Williams

Too poor documentation and is not as exact for the product. Can run but to try to have as WAF or at least only as NAT is not possible.

Though it has so many pages and forms, after read through the user manual I downloaded from their official website, the AIM works well.
I use this AMI to build a NAT gateway to hide some of my servers in my VPC.

Good stuff in VPC

After a bunch of searching and choosing, I find this AMI could work well in VPC. I launched a VPC in AWS and replaced the default gateway with the AMI (NISG). It provides the functions of the stateful packet filter, NAT, IPS, Anti-virus, and IPS. Therefore, I think my private subnets can avoid the attack from hack. Furthermore, the IPSec VPN feature in this system is compatible with my Juniper ISG so that my subnets in AWS can be connected with my enterprise data center. I think this AMI is a good gateway for anyone would like to launch a VPC on AWS.

No Documentation

I have been working with this AMI for about a week now and while I have been able to get parts of it functioning, I am really stuck and there is no documentation. The vendor website offers very little other than marketing. I was hoping to use the product as the price is right and the management seems fairly easy. I cannot get outbound NAT to work from my private subnets. The logging feature is terrible. The fact that there are no real-time logs makes debugging futile. As much as I would like to use and recommend the product, I can not. Better luck to the next folks.
