MEAN powered by Bitnami (PV)
Bitnami by VMware | 3.2.6-2 on Ubuntu 14.04.3Linux/Unix, Ubuntu 14.04.3 - 32-bit Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Could be amazing. But instead is incredibly frustrating.
They're doing a great service by creating this package and making it free. But here's the bottom line: They are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE at documentation.
To even figure out how to login to MongoDB requires following about five different links -- and even then it works about half the time. I've had to just terminate instances and retry, in hopes of getting a configuration that I can actually log into.
When I finally was able to login -- thinks worked as hoped. But seriously. We shouldn't have to spend an entire day trying to bounce between documentation because your team can't be bothered to provide "HOW TO LOGIN DOCUMENTATION" that is actually intuitive.

Quick and easy
Bitnami's MEAN stack AMI was super quick and easy to install and use. With lots of documentation out their on how to work with Linux and Bitnami AMIs I was able to get my environment up and running in no time. The AMI was also flexible enough to let me experiment with getting GNOME and NX running to test the code right on the virtual machine. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to explore the MEAN stack.
