Can't get it to work
I'm stuck with an error "the image / ami id does not exist" when I want to launch a spot request. Great idea, but lacks a lot on the GUI part, took me an hour to get along with the interface at all and in result couldn't even render. Hoping for an improvement to make it work in day-to-day situations.

works well when setup.
Works well when it is setup but can take a bit to setup and it is not always easy to find out what causes things not to work. example. Amazon by default allows zero on demand jobs and if you submit a job it just fails and does not really tell you why. A bit better error handling would be great and maybe a web interface showing job status. If I can only figure out how to use filmatic addon I will be a happy camper.
Works surprisingly well!
Works well, we rendered a 3 minute 1080p animation in about 3 hours. If it's useful to know, we used 50 g2.2xlarge instances on the spot market at about $0.15/per server hour. I have no idea if that is optimal, but it certainly would have taken several days to render locally, and we didn't have the time.
There is an error that occurs when you try to oversubscribe spot requests, but the UI doesn't relay the error. When I ran the underlying brenda scripts directly, I could see the error. I also struggled setting up the proper network settings initially, and I couldn't connect - the instructions don't tell you what to do now that VPC is required.
