Just Doesn't Work
Installed the template, did the configuration (thanks to the other reviews for explaining how to get to the password for the db). It then fails to work.

Configuration we were needing
We were looking for a nextcloud version easy to configure to deploy our repository, it is functional for what we needed in the company
Can't get passed welcome screen, support website down
Spun up this AMI and connected no problem. As other user said, connect through SSH to get default database password and other helpful links in the welcome message.
Unfortunately I have been unable to proceed to create admin user from the web welcome screen - get error: Can't create or write into the data directory /var/www/html/data
Have tried googling, but found no help for this AMI build, and the support website is (currently) offline.
Also, I can SSH in OK, but after being presented with the welcome message I am automatically disconnected, so unable to interact at the command line.
A getting started guide would be helpful.
Simple and satisfactory installation
We have done the installation and configuration in a simple way. We are configuring SSL
It has startup information to configure that facilitated the installation
Great nextcloud image
Great AMI! As @R said, you have to configure apache2 for https, with your ssl certificate.
To help other users, the default mysql password is in the welcome message when you connect through ssh.
Thanks, great work.
Complete Installation
Great product, gives all necessary components needed. Will need to update to latest version and do a security check. You should also disable HTTP and redirect to HTTPS and create a certificate, but this is a good start
