Amazon Linux encryption and instantiation.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to be able to analyze and manage user data; you can generate keys for hosts being configured; the feature to add public keys to facilitate logins for administration has a part of preparing repositories which allows me to manage packages better; the integration with Amazon Elastic and Amazon EC2.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many protocols for package installation and too many runtimes for my taste, the only supported method to connect to instances is SSH. I wish were more methods; I would like more security updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to transmit configuration actions integrating it with Amazon EC2; it is also a viable option when it comes to data analysis since it has excellent security encryption, the fact that it is based on Linux allows us to program better in PHP, it is helpful to improve user security.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and to learn as well.
I have used multiple flavours if Linux AMI as per need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I see anything to dislike but it will be good have different level of backup strategies while creating an AMI.

Like instead of incremental backup, user should get option to select full backup as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been a user for almost 6-7yrs and Amazon Linux AMI os solving many problems like take a backup of existing EC2 as well helps in maintaining silver and gold images as per application requirements.

If you are working on amazon, then it's Linux distro might be a good fit for you.

What do you like best about the product?
Amazon has its own distro which is optimized in its own nature with its dedicated platform. It is also available which you can use locally and it comes with the Yum Package Manager, people familiar with Redhat/Centos might find it handy. It even comes with few AWS tools pre-installed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in specific but according to the FAQ page, the LTS image will only last 5 years and will BREACH the kernel-space ABI. As a result, this could be challenging. Of course, Amazon could be targeting a different type of customer than the traditional enterprise tier. We'll see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AWS is providing its own Linux distro known as Amazon Linux AMI and it also provides Scaling options and high availability too.
