What do you like best about the product?
Great at APM and Tracing, the best tool with the best history!
What do you dislike about the product?
SaaS is the limitation we've faced, removing the hardware spend of onprem kit is out #1 task this year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracing in K8s is solved by AppD
Recommendations to others considering the product:
be careful with the costs, but then go crazy with what you've got. It's great!

What do you like best about the product?
it gives a 360 degree view of an application from end users to middleware/application server monitoring including database and remote services calls.
it also gives an analytics tool for log and transaction monitoring at very granular level.

I think there must be a central console to manage agent upgrade and debugging.

fixed lots of p1 issues, find out root cause of issues.
fine tuned source code to reduce 404 and other common errors/exceptions from application.

if your business require an APM solution, AppDynamics can be a very good option , it provides most of things like integration with other product , end to end monitoring data for an application including hw monitoring.
so i would recommend appdynamics if anyone is looking for an APM.

Data is there only for few weeks. EUM should play the user activity

Using AppDynamics, we have been able to monitor the system's performance and comparing to historic data, and have been able to provide reassurance to my senior stakeholders that our change has had no impact on the performance of the system.

Nothing as such, but would love if AppD provides out of the box dashboards and more flexibility in creating custom dashboards

Helps to triage performance issues faster
What do you like best about the product?
Helps to find the root cause of the performance issue quicker instead of trying to spend weeks. Also helps to monitor the application on a day to day basis and help plan for capacity better.

APM, Synthetic monitoring, BT, Server monitoring, Alerting, Healthrules, Dashboards, Analytics, Data collectors, Various metrics, Flow maps.

EUM. Does not scale with a big platform. Limitation of monitoring 2000 pages. Terminated server metrics not available. It's permanently wiped out.

I used AppDynamics as a POC to find performance issues in our DEV application and it was able to show us list of transactions where we are losing most of the time
Best Tool to Monitor applications
What do you like best about the product?
The tool can be used to monitor stats like errors, server status etc., which makes the analysis very easy. It's very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used it for sometime now, and I have no complaints about the tool.

It helps me to monitor and fix the errors. Also used to improve the performance issues.
Live monitoring of user status was great
What do you like best about the product?
We do monitor more than 100 types of transactions at digital end, the live monitoring for the transactions connecting range of different backend systems and user experience is quite impressive. We also do monitor our K8's instances health over AppDynamics, the UI is quite impressive to monitor memory and usage of pods. Believe they can make more easier options for monitoring such advanced AWS / Cloud concepts.

At times the UI would be quite slow and takes times to feed in data like memory utilizations for pods
