Perfect tool to solve performance problems
What do you like best about the product?
AppDynamics provides a significant amount of detail to solve performance problems by using APM tools and analytics driven approach
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not a real time monitoring solution
It us quite pricey, though does provide a lot more detail than other APM providers

AppDynamics provides an excellent overview of all the interactions between all of various applications, providing a high level view of overall health of whole applications

Efficient troubleshooting tool
What do you like best about the product?
AppDynamics is particularly effective for troubleshooting, debugging and identifying the root cause of problems and bugs.It can be used by an organization to monitor the performance of its applications and identify bottlenecks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup can take a long time. Costing can be more economical. Users need some training before using the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance management. and application monitoring

Trained users can exploit the tool much more effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
App Dynamics has monitoring of Rest Endpoint services, messaging and UI web usage stats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major that I know of. UI experience is not very good.

A Good Monitoring Tool With A Few Downfalls
What do you like best about the product?
The Presentation of the graphs and data is one of the positives of appDynamics. It is a very reliable monitoring tool. It reaches down to a very low level of the code to let us know a problem for a high response time, or in other words, it gives us in depth analysis of issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is one of the drawbacks. It is very expensive. Personally it took quite a bit of time to get used to the software, to know where to look for specific information on monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring of APIs in production. It has help us prevent and isolate a lot of issues, without appdynamics would have been really hard to pin down on the problems

If cost is not a problem, this is a very good tool that I recommend for businesses who want a powerful tool for monitoring

For the best and most detailed capability quite a lot of tooling is required

Capacity Management. Identifying where bottlenecks are within end to end customer transactions

decent software allows you to monitor service endpoints tiers nodes database calls etc

software sometimes take longer to load / refresh etc sometimes hangs

What do you like best about the product?
I like the real time transaction monitoring feature and the various dashboards it provides out of the box. You can track a transaction from end to end. If your transaction passes through multiple services and databases, it shows all the components on the dashboard and then you can click on any component and view the details. You can monitor CPU, memory etc. It lets you setup email alerts. It also shows the errors and exceptions in the system. It is a complete monitoring software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of. It has all the features we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for application end to end monitoring. We have various email alerts setup on CPU, memory, exceptions etc. We use it for production monitoring and have been able to catch issues as early as possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a really good APM software, then this is it. It can help in detecting issues, as soon as they occur. It also shows you the exceptions and the component/service which is having problem, so it does the 'detection' part and your job becomes easier. It has everything that you would need in an APM software. You can track your transactions end to end.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity to hook and get all the reports and dashboards are very nice. There are drill downs and flow graphs and customization of dashboards allowed. There are jmx beans, memory monitoring, database monitoring, server monitoring and also the properties are visible and can be utlizied. Indeed it is a beautiful tool to use. The cost is also not very high and is just enough and you get a support as well and in premise deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI needs flash enabled in browsers and may not work fine in IE. This is a big draw back and also the reports need lots of clicks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Server, Performance, database, memory management.

It’s a easy to use performance management tool that includes various visuals for graphic and chart capturing. It is a well liked too by all at my job

I don’t have anything i could say i don’t like about the tool at the moment. I personally don’t ha e complaints nor have i heard of any additional complaints from people

Appd dynamics gives an enterprise wide view in a dashboard form that captures network performance and monitoring. This helps to have a centralized location to view the status of security and issues to pay attention to

One of the best tools to use for performance tracking. will recommend for anyone who is looking for 99.9999 up time and plan to continuously improve the product
