The ability to drill down and the business transactions
What do you dislike about the product?
AppDynamics come with a hefty price tag. It is dissuading for our smaller client environments because it makes our SaaS offering too expensive when we roll in these costs into our business model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AppDynamics allows our development team to focus more on developing and less on deep dive troubleshooting. This in turn saves the company money by making our developers more productive.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pinpoint potential cause for website performance issues

Application does take a lot of pc resource.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to identified and correct performance issues for our website
This is our lifeline when it comes to knowing our platforms performance.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can easily dig into an issue visually. We can find out down to the little detail what is causing a problem and deploy a fix.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support is very poor. Many times we have answered our own questions before an initial response. A lot of the times we also get an answer like, you are not able to do that at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time monitoring and troubleshooting.
Quickly and effeciently identify performance issues
What do you like best about the product?
Deep insights into application. The dashboards are easy to navigate. We've used this product to submit bug reports to our vendor of a closed-source java application. AppDynamics exposes the class and methods with timings and exceptions for each API call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything. Maybe the "requires flash" is a problem, but I suspect they are working to get rid of flash.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used AppDynamics to identify and help solve everything from mis-configured databases to poorly written software.

I really like how easy it is to start using AppDynamics in your environment.

We have had a less then active account management staff communication.

We wanted to stop all the finger pointing when there was an issue and just get to a resolution as quickly as possible
