What do you like best about the product?
Application Performance Management (APM) solution was simple yet provided all the needed data to monitor end to end performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find anything that I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use to gather data for real time performance monitoring of various web base applications.

Lots of features with simple deployment

What do you like best about the product?
Simple deployment with standard agents. It's very easy to develop new extensions with the machine agent. Requires some understanding of the application server to deploy.

Very intuitive metrics browser and dashboard creation is super simple.

You can view the full application and resources state during a snapshot.

User and developer support is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
No very friendly debugging. The logs are very cryptic some times.

The metrics collector server requires a lot of resources.

The platform and collector installation "wizzard" is not so friendly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application mapping with connections to external systems (databases, web services, etc.).

In-depth application resource usage and performance.

Simple diagnostics of common misconfigurations
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The trial last for 15 days which is more than enough to diagnose your application performance and possible errors or do some fine tuning.

Exceptional Capability

  • January 20, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the dashboard, business transactions and overall ease of use of the tool. It integrates well and has some very clever capabilities. The standard interface works well. We have tried EUM and are yet to get this fully implemented but it looks impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks some instrumentation capabilities for MS BizTalk.

Installation can be challenging at time, but once it's understood how it works and gets implemented, then it becomes easy, especially on Java applications.

However on .NET applications, this requires more work and a low level technical understanding of how to work with XML structures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance & System Stability is what we are using it to solve

We've started to get a better understanding of how our application communicate with one another
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a POC, use the software on a complex application in UAT that has sufficient data flowing through it.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration using Javaagent. $$$
What do you dislike about the product?
$$$ way too expensive for 90% of Corps..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product will dispel the myth that Engineers “know” i.e. Guess where performance problems are. It can show granular transaction costs down to SQL query plans. It integrates easily with JEE, JDBC drivers and JMS APIs using its own Aspect-oriented byte code rewriting. ALL while in production. Yes, this product is ran on production machines. One can trace actual business logic bottle necks on the real system without a significant performance* hit. The performance gains from fixing the bottlenecks far out weights the 2% degradation of using this product. One can obtain exponential gains once it’s clear where the real performance issues are and not guesses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pricing is incredibly wrong. Only large corps can afford it. And many and up using Nw Relc which is a shame as this product is far superior and provides PRODUCTION APM and Monitoring.

Simple, it just worked as advertised

  • December 31, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We evaluated several APM platforms, and with a primarily .net based, found it impossible to find one that didn't cost >25% CPU overhead or crashed our applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
You always hope for a point and shoot solution. No APM solution in a distributed architecture is. So setup was something that took more than a few hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring and performance Management. When you are dealing in e-commerce, technical those technical concerns directly translate in end user experience and ultimately revenue protection.
