What do you like best about the product?
Dossier is easy to use and has an outstanding data wrangler tool. In addition, MicroStrategy offers the ability to use data from various external sources as well as from metadata data sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that could be improved within Dossier such as having a Live connection to personal data sources and not having to re-link to our personal data source every time you need to refresh. Would as be nice to connect to PDF documents as personal data source. Tableau offers this functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MicroStrategy is primarily used to report and analyze accounting and financial data. The transactional service feature has been helpful to accomplish user writeback to the database and provide real time data.

Es una herramienta muy fácil de usar. Y a los usuarios les cuesta muy poco su uso.

Su poca relación con todos los productos de SAP.

Utilizamos mucho los tableros, parte de la herramienta que nos da muchos beneficios y satisfacciones.

Es una herramienta que recomiendo para empresas grandes como mas pequeñas, si bien el costo sería elevado, creo que los beneficios son muchos.

What do you like best about the product?
Its an Enterprise tool and you develop a sematic layer which can you be used for multiple reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Visualizations, its getting there but still little behind in game as compared to other Visualization tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the tool to analyze Sales and guest count from POS level data. It can easily process large amount of data without the need to building inmemory cubes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MicroStrategy is an Enterprise Tool, easy to use and setup.

Can be difficult to learn at the beginning. Many different reports and not all names make sense.
