Microstrategy Business intelligence!!!
What do you like best about the product?
This is a platform that provides you with business intelligence and analytics through world-class specialty services so you can implement unique intelligence applications. It has the ability to bring in multiple different sources of multiple different types of data and allow the user to use them to present them in a more compressible and actionable way. It has a clean, organized and attractive interface where you navigate without any problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had a rewarding experience with good results. However, I must say that sometimes the software is a bit slow and has a slightly high learning curve, it is nothing to worry about, with days it is already known what each tool works for, improving the optimization of each tool will always be a recommendation to avoid freezing the information used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use mictrostrategy for several different departments within our company, it provides us with greater ease of creating reports and we can automate much of them, which is truly gratifying because of the flexibility with which we can work. It solves many of our needs and is easy to use. This is extremely important since not all people are SQL experts. Reports and dashboards are updated in real time, this is undoubtedly an advantage. We save the templates that can be updated later without having to recreate them from scratch. For a better visualization we can perform a color separation to differentiate parameters, in general it is very complete and we are happy with the results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software is really useful when it comes to visualizing big data, its tools, performance and real functionalities that when comparing them with other software you realize that they are very good. You can analyze success metrics such as cases sold, revenue, specific product or customer segmentation. Your work team with the automated system will be able to establish a work flow and significant time savings, to channel them in other areas. Totally recommended.

What do you like best about the product?
This software has amazing features which helps me to modify and transform the data from the spread sheets. I am capable of creating multiple applications for the better analytics of the entire working of my organization. It also helps me in automated distribution of the key tasks for overcoming the process complexities. This tool provides me freedom to personalized dashboards. It is one window solution for the digital transformation of the data which covers, big data, mobile and cloud BI, and also helps me to understand the machine learning application.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very difficult to get started a lot of technical knowledge is required to use this software effectively. Further it is very much costly and its installation is also very much time taking. Due to its bulkiness sometimes it cause my system to get slow, thus it become troublesome sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is most useful platform, It is providing me the clear visualization and transparent insight of the process and operations of my organization by providing me authentic reporting. Further I am capable of creating dynamic and vector-based maps for my web and mobile application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is highly recommended for those organizations who believe in invention to innovation. But overall I do not fine it much reliable for handling the ongoing operations. It will help you to create the new one but for the previous working it is not that much effective.

MicroStrategy provide some excellent functionalities which enable the user on easy transformation of different data to various understandable way through the tool features which simplifies the whole process.

Not much so far to complain about MicroStrategy functionalities, because the tool can do everything for the user.

Easy management of big data and also no stress importing other platforms data to this tool and easily combine different data to your requirement.

Data manipulation system with various functional tools which can be used on transforming various user data to different business requirements and its an easy system to use.

some of their features are very flexible and helpful like dragging and dropping report objects for quick reporting of success metrics. You can segment a particular product easily by filtering its report even you can segment the customers. The dashboards are clearly designed and with proper controls. The reporting analytics tool is really very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first time configuration is very time consuming and needs lot of efforts. The support costs are very high. They must build a single interface for a lot of features. The support team takes a lot of time in responding and solving your queries. User interface still need some modifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall the platform is good for any organization for business intelligence team as we used it for our organization and it helped a lot in analyzing the sales performance of products , specific categories and customer segmentation. This tool is being used in our marketing department to make sure about the revenue which is generated from a specific product is above the par or not. It generates report for customer performance as well for us.

Easy and intuitive to use. Excellent graphical user interface. A wide variety of options available for customization of visual elements and drill down capabilities of reports and dashboards. Free in depth online classes for users based on professional role in relation to Microstrategy. Very easy to learn for people of all learning styles. Documentation is straightforward with the perfect amount of detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as much name recognition among colleagues not in IT roles therefore more difficult to get consensus by internal clients for use on a broader or corporate-wide scale.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy integration into system from disparate data sources. Develop easy and quick prototypes of sample reports and dashboards using company data with sleek design.

Do a test drive. Offers the best initial impression of software compared to its competitors and doesn't fall short as you keep on driving.
Robust Personified
What do you like best about the product?
The best features within Microstrategy allows for the use to not only create awesome visualizations, but also design custom metrics within the software. This saves times as core data manipulation is not required to get the best analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software on desktop is a bit taxing to the RAM. Also, there is a limitation to small businesses with respect to cost of implementation. This makes sharing a bit difficult as live, one-on-one sessions have to be scheduled in order to share the visualizations with the client.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The largest problems I have solved with MicroStrategy is detecting trends where they are not readily apparent in traditional data analysis. The ability to flip and turn data at the creation of a metric or even an on the fly change in visualization is a God-send! I have benefited by saving time in detecting potentially detrimental trends as well as identify what is beneficial to the client.

Create a small business package for the purpose of implementing in smaller enterprises.

It does not work well with Esbase and that is about it.

Debugging is not easy. end user tool and doesnt have proper answers for issues until logged in to the community like other reporting tools.

Data analysis and pattern finding for end users
Has a lot of potential but needs a better query architecture interface
What do you like best about the product?
I like the visualizations and the variety you can add to reports to be able to tell a story.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the lack of control that I have on the query that is generated when building an architected report. It requires a lot of ETL resources to build the data out in the best manner for a report which is frustrating for a developer who is trying to meet deadlines. More control over the generated queries would be nice.

I provide reports that help business understand where we can improve and where we should prioritize our efforts for improvement.
