Toad is a great tool for using SQL and is key in our developmental process.
What do you like best about the product?
Toad is very user friendly, and has many features that allow it to be tailored to an individual's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there can be unexpected errors that are not clear as to why they occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Toad for code development.

Real tool for DBA's
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, powerful tool. Ideal for developers and adminmistrators. I've been using toad for more than 15 years and it's the best administration tool ever, I highly recommend this tool to every developer and DBA

I like everything about toad. Perhaps one of the things I dislike is the price (but you pay for quality)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Query optimization, identify object locking, object creation and edit, DBA Tasks

Toad Provides an Effective and Easy To Use Interface for Oracle Dbs
What do you like best about the product?
Toad for Oracle is largely intuitive. The interface has a relatively low learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a huge fan of the export tools and the interface with the grid of results. Looking to how SMSS handles that would perhaps lead to improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A business merger resulted in Oracle Dbs being part of what was previously solely SQL. Toad for Oracle was an effective solution for working with these Oracle Dbs.

Toad for Oracle is a very effective tool for utilizing and managing Oracle dbs.
Oracle shouls provide TOAD with the product

No web based gui to perform many of the things that you need to do, data modeler and query optimizer are a big plus
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say, as a PL/SQL programmer I prefer SQL Developer for pl/sql code development

I can monitor multiple databases simtaneously

I use toad for oracle, it makes easy lot of database administration. You can do almost everything with toad. l like the reports.

lot of scope to improve the user interface.

color combinations for the keywords when coding for SQL

would have been better if there was an in line evaluation of the statement syntax as compared with some python editors

Ease of use for managing data and database structure

Speed of startup, it can sometimes be slow to launch

Very easy to filter data to provide to business colleagues. Easy to check database structures and to trouble shoot application errors. I've been using TOAD for over 15 years through different versions and have introduced it when moving to new jobs
A good tool for DBA

It is a robust app that make your admin life easy. Support for many Oracle instance. Very good optimization tool.

Price is a little high, but a good offer is always available. Setup on some system is a pain.

querys, admin issues, dba problems
