A pioneer and trailblazer for DBMS
What do you like best about the product?
Organized and customizable user interface; coverage of all database related activities; reasonably easy and intuitive;
What do you dislike about the product?
Been using it for years and have yet to find something to truly dislike. If I had to make *any* suggestion for improvement then it would be to give the UI a fresher look but that’s just personal preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick access to the database backend for queries and simple to moderately complex SQL statements.

Perfect for anyone comfortable with SQL who wants to make their lives easier

The best tool that I have ever used in my career.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the features that Toad for Oracle has been excellent and unmatched compared to others. Obviously, we shouldn't compare the freeware with Toad for Oracle. But the amount that we spend is well worth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I havent really come across any that I need to highlight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Toad for oracle to connect to our oracle databases. It helps us retrieve data(of course) and BLOB, CLOB etc features and other small features it has.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The software is definitely a great tool not just to retrieve the data but it has other add-on software which we use to automate processes using windows scheduler.

What do you like best about the product?
I like toad it helps me a lot to develop PL/SQL tables/views/function/ procedures, the editor in the tool it will help you to recognize and fix syntax error also there is a lot of features allowing you to debug your code and optimize it and find unusable variable and also it helps using the wizard base to create procedure selecting specific element
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the application crash or freeze specially when it load large files or plsql code. also when i try to execute large sql script using the editor it will take long time so i prefer to use SQL Plus to run large SQL script
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool helps every developer to create tables views functions procedures packages users and setting roles to specific users also the tool help to debug you code and find errors also it help a lot to optimize performance and monitor the performance in order to tune it

I highly recommend anyone who want to build new career path in Oracle database PLSQL to start learn coding using this tool it really helped me a lot to be a good developer

What do you like best about the product?
I'm using this tool since last 5 years infect more than this and I can say that yes this is very good if you want to manage or wanted to get in touch with your db like you are sitting in the front of your database. As it make you feel like that. I didn't face any issue while using this.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don;t have any reason to say if I disliked it ever. So in my opinion there is nothing that wouldn't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While working for our project to get information from database or for correction purpose I have used it. Also for getting information of packages scheduling of procedures and getting information of inavlid objects and much more.

This application help all oracle database developer to create database elements and objects easy, actually the editor of this application and the debug mode helps me to create procedures and functions very fast and it helps me to export reports addm and tune performance

Sometime the application crash and executing large script using the editor stuck and crash

What do you like best about the product?
Schema Level Management: Toad for Oracle enables you to conveniently generate and retain schema items. It's the best GUI interface in this software class. Learning and getting used to is simple.
I like the convenience of using Toad for Oracle characteristics such as SQL Loader, Export / Import, etc.
The toad's performance analysis module also provides a very solid graphical analysis of queries

What do you dislike about the product?
The complete characteristics of the company come at a price. Dell should believe about how tiny businesses can make this great solution more feasible.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Toad for Oracle is used in our organisation to handle databases. SQL Builder helps to create queries for extracting information from oracle databases. It is used throughout the organisation so that the same information is available to everyone rather than having local databases in their scheme.

What I believe is the best in this software is that you do not have to work with other instruments to have a full atmosphere within the database.
Toad is suitable for sophisticated users such as DBA. I was an analyst, so I had a harder time to use it. I'd think that DBA's elevated standard of customization would use it without any issues.

Fantastic Tool works well for Oracle database
What do you like best about the product?
Good GUI, very intuitive, there is not much training that is required to start using it. Administrator module is also quite useful that can give you insight like explain plan, session wait etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a licensed tool so there is a procurement that we have to go through where as SQL developer is free and prety much does the same things with slightly poorer interface. Some time if you leave a box clicked then it will lock the row and can create issues with the database sometime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing business reports, Writing PL/SQL queries. also performing database performance tuning activities.

Its a great tool but in the times of cost cutting procurement team will ask you for a justification.
User-friendly software for all levels of experience
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of dragging and dropping tables, and the ability to do quick manual edits through SQL statements.This creates a user-friendly experience, where many users are able to create their own queries. Connecting to databases is simple, and users can save various schema of tables to return to at a later time, reducing the need to configure the views upon each login.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of ability to create groups through the selection of data, rather than SQL statements, can be frustrating. This causes some users with less experience in the tool to need greater direction from more experienced users, or our IT group. Training was offered through our company, but not through Toad experts or representatives. This caused some dysfunction and gaps in knowledge with implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our work required a transition from a system without security or tracking abilities of users through data sets, to Toad. We are able to better track users and IT has greater control of data usage. We have also utilized SQL more throughout our system to edit and manage queries, or share these queries with each other.

This is a great tool for those who need drag and drop capabilities, but some users will need to be able to understand basic or advanced SQL statements.

TOAD is a helpful database querying tool
What do you like best about the product?
As a novice SQL user, I like that TOAD includes features for exploring the data and building code. It is helpful as I become more familiar with SQL syntax and with my organization's data warehouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to navigate between the visualize and build and explore and edit code menus. I feel like it can host many tabs which feel like layers that I can lose things in. It is also frustrating to have to re-establish the connection to the warehouse every time I log in, maybe this is standard with querying systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Querying any type of data that I need that is up to date without relying on pre-built reports or extracts.Toad is an easy way to parse through large data sets to answer questions with the most up to date data available in the warehouse. In our industry, this is particularly helpful for claim and enrollment data.
