Toad - Perfect way for Database management
What do you like best about the product?
It helps manage large files or complex files for all instances.
It provides highly efficient way to manipulate or to modify the oracle database.

User Interface is also not that much supportive.

Quick connect to Oracle database, Strong code base, bugs rectified in major patches

interface, sometimes speed for cloud db connections

it makes easy code changes in db scripts for Oracle databases, also useful for cloud databases

What do you like best about the product?
Through Toad, was able to write queries and execute them and was able to fetch explain plan and cost of the queries for performance monitoring and improvement.

Sometimes, if we have multiple sessions it bothers me a lot in response.

There is nothing to dislike, its a very mature tool and performs as per expectation.

What do you like best about the product?
I worked with Toad in a telecommunications multinational, and the best thing was managing a multitude of databases and tables, making selections, and modifying clients and services with great agility.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there was nothing that I disliked; you just had to give permissions to databases you would use. What was a bit annoying was the sound of the frog when starting the program, since it seemed like a burp, and whoever did not know it could seem unpleasant

In the department we managed all the telephone numbers of a company and we could filter them by some characteristic through a "select" and execute some modification in a massive way

Toad license may not be covered by the company you work for

I may search for tables, views, constraints, indexes,find definitions, compare objects etc in seconds

Much better than sqldeveloper, much faster and easier to use

What do you like best about the product?
Toad is a sql database just like the any other database connectors. It's great tool to pull data. The benefit of this connector in comparison to squirrel is the ability to pull more records and exporting to a csv.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no differentiator that I have encountered. I noticed this connector is very slow to extract data and there's limitations to the number of records it can extract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used toad for perform day to day reconciliation from a tax perspective. Validating information, finding data trends, and performing YoY recon.

It is straightforward to use and has all the features required for database developers.
You can view the procedures, perform database unit tests, debug the procedures and functions, view the packages, navigate to different database objects. The user-wise schema is easy to see, and filters are user-specific and can be stored. The best feature is it does not load all the data in one go, and hence for cursory checking of data, it's the best, and if required, it can load all data with a single click on the UI button available.
The other great feature is tracing the query flow, and the tree structure output helps infer the performance improvement areas.

The software is not available for Mac Os or Linux platforms and is more suited for windows machines.
The key shortcuts are different and need a more extensive learning curve.
The sorting and filtering come as a popup and are not triggered directly from the UI.
It is difficult to see the blob data types like image files, and the constraints, SQL view, are less intuitive.

I use it frequently to write stored procedures, functions, packages, and views. I also use it frequently for creating tables, grant permissions, and different other database operations.
The benefits are easy to view the data with not all data loading at a time, thus improving the performance without being an overkill to the memory. It also has a significant benefit for debugging and error finding.
The reports are easy to make, and it is easy to have multiple database instances all in one UI screen.
A large number of UI buttons makes it quite helpful and easy to understand.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part is we can easily connect different schemas with databases.
It' easy user interface shows all the saved schemas in an proper arranged ways so that user can switch between schemas very easily.

After loading so many schemas it becomes slow to see different queries in different tabs.

I can connect different databases easily and to store password .
Easy to query and to save the result set in different files and send over the email as .CSV file.
