CentOS 6.3 (x86_64) - Release Media
CentOS.org | 6.3 - 2012-07-09Linux/Unix, CentOS 6.3 - 64-bit Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Nice
I was looking for official CentOS 6 image and this was just I needed.
The image worked just fine without any issues and had all the essential things on it including selinux enabled.
Highly recommended.

The original and the best: CentOS in the Amazon Cloud
The perfect starting point for all your CentOS needs. Works like a charm out of the box. Very secure too: Amazon wont allow you to login as root unless you provide the .pem file generated as part of your key/value setup - say goodbye to brute force attacks.
Works great with the free tier. Glad it's available as a one-click solution. Bravo CentOS, and bravo Amazon!

Funciono perfectamente
Sin problema, con lo necesario para acceder a la versión mínima de este gran producto y luego configurarlo a nuestro gusto.
Usable, clean Installation
Small and usable installation. With "yum" as the packemanager, everything from CentOs/Redhat is installable, for other OpenSource Packages, the "EPEL"-Repository must be installed, then almost all other Linux Packages are accessible.
5 Stars.
Didn't work for me
In the last 5 years, I have used a number of AMI's, CentOS, Ubuntu, even Windows.
I would have liked to use this one because it was bare-bones and from CentOS.org. I installed Django on it and tried to establish connectivity from the outside. No dice. Security Groups were OK. After enabling ICMP, I was able to ping the machine, but still no web connectivity.
Installed Apache, thinking maybe there was something the matter with the Django built-in server. No dice.
After wasting half a day, I followed the exact same process on an AMI from PhilChen. Same version of CentOS, was able to install everything and get it up and running inside of 45 minutes.
Perhaps there was one little thing somewhere that should have been documented but wasn't?
