Fills a need. Your mileage may vary, the repositories are cloudfront based, but I am in Australia and it took 90 minutes to install the gnome desktop. So re-baseline if there is going to be any heavy lifting as far as configuration management is concerned. Otherwise no issues, it does the job. User for keypair login is "admin". That should be enough to get you started.
Nice but no t2
It's awesome to have Debian on Amazon Web Services but there is one problem, HVM doesn't exists and there are no support for t2 type instances, unlike others distros on AWS. For me, it's the only reason for not using Debian.
