Good Server OS by Microsoft
What do you like best about the product?
1. Better GUI than Server 2008.
2.Easy to setup and use.
3. The windows server backup has improved a lot especially in regards to bare metal recovery.

I don't like that it does not have the usual start menu.

Power shell is good having cmd interface with less resource consumption

IT is very simple and easy to work with its great to work on this platform.
What do you like best about the product?
Remote Access method and Virtual cloud platform are cool. It is simple and easy to work from this, very user-friendly, and a great way of exploring. I also like the virtual hard disk conversion.

Nothing much all features are great and easy to work this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually use this for remote management, and the task manager is incredible, which helps me connect to remote servers and get the details of connected sessions very quickly.

Nothing so far once properly configured there is no need to tinker with it.

Setting up a domain controller is far easier and more painless than even setting up a domain controller using dcpromo in Windows Server 2008 R2.

Windows Server 2012 also features upgraded virtual workload capabilities and management options, particularly in the Datacenter edition. According to the company, the operating system’s virtualization technology, Hyper-V, now supports up to 1 TB of memory per virtual machine and 64 TB of storage per virtual disk.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drivers for Windows Server 2012 must be available prior to upgrading an existing server. Normally those are obtained from the server manufacturer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OS boasts several cloud and security enhancements well suited for cloud management. For example, Microsoft’s Hyper-V virtualization software includes new security features such as simplified authorization.The ability to encrypt only the drive space that is used, improved deployments, dynamic access control, Active Directory Domain Services and Direct Access. These features make Windows Server 2012 easier to use and more secure by reducing or eliminating errors and more closely tailoring the OS to today’s critical security needs.

What do you like best about the product?
After Using windows server 2003 or 2008 operating all IT industry and system administrators has good relief, it was server 2012. It has many advantages like Refs file system, Hypervisor, powershell version 3.0 and IIS 8 and more over advantages like storages and pools, live migration..Those are the best features included and still it's user friendly for Window's administrator's. Mainly server manager console is very easy to understand and os installation is super fast and booting time also faster.. configuring Active directory easy than dcpromo in server 2008.

As a administrator, I don't feel anything

Configuring Ad and dns , DHCP easily and creating trust relationship between the domains.

What do you like best about the product?
Microsoft has done an excellent job on Windows Server 2012. It has managed to add new features and new tools, while still working as a drop-in replacement for earlier Windows Server releases. That's going to make it a lot easier to get up and running with a new server OS, while giving you an ideal migration path to tomorrow's world of private and public clouds.

Event logs cannot accessible from remote devices

Some issue with printer server happens, but the benefit is its easy to solve
working smoothly
