It's very good needs buying and activating cpanel license.

The documentation is not the best so not good for beginners with setup of WHM and cpanel but else it's ok.

Worked Perfectly for Me ( read for tips)

I'm a season AWS & cPanel user so maybe that made a difference. You need to have a FQDN (host.yoursite.com), log in ssh to set the hostname and password. Once that is done go to http://host.yoursite.com:2087, enter root as the username and then the password you set via ssh to start setting everything up. Once setup is complete you will get a no license error, there is a license refresh command on the page, login to ssh enter that code let it refresh and then log back in to WHM. ALL FRICKIN GOOD!

When it was being provisioned on AWS after using the one click installation, I waited for about an hour - 2 hours and nothing worked. Waste of time.

Total waste of time and energy, CloudLinux w CPanel doesn't work

I got an instance started, did everything that I could to utilize CPanel Cloud Linux. I have open up security almost like all ports open to all... still CPANEL on 2087 is far from reality...

THanks CloudLinux for having know you sooner than later.

I should have read the comments first: even though they list CPanel in the title of their offer they do NOT help you in ANY way to get CPanel working. The pre-installed version is a TRIAL version you will be unable to actually use and will have a hard time to activate.

the integration of this 2 product give every single user an absolutely amazing experience. the speed and the functionality of cloud linux and the user friendliness of cpanel included with softacolous or fantastico auto installer give a feel of trusted and well working on the net.

Useful, but...

This AMI has, by default, MariaDB instead of MySQL. I'm stuck on cPanel 11.40 and can't update to 11.42 because MySQL is corrupted :/

A Total Waste of Time

I've been using cpanel/whm servers for over a decade. Trying to get this cloudlinux with cpanel to work with Amazon will drive you crazy.

Contacting cpanel isn't much help either. They want to charge a steep fee per support incident.

I've been on this for 3 days back and forth. Whm was working on my aws and I was near completion toward getting this to work. Now I'm unable to connect through my whm login (even though it has been working the past couple days).

Amazon tech says the reason my server isn't working is due to a problem with the cpanel program, even though I used the cloudlinux with cpanel ami for setting it up.

My only relief from the past 3 days is the opportunity to vent here. I should have paid attention to the first 2 reviewers here.

With this ami, you'll get the cpanel on a two week trial basis -- and you have to pay $200 to get the vps annual license and another $150 if you want the cloudlinux license. I was able to get a hold of sales and that was what I was told I needed in order to continue after the two weeks.

Give it a try if you want... you've been warned. If I can save you the three days of frustrations that I have experienced, then my efforts havne't been totally wasted.
