Octane Cloud Workstation
OTOY | 1.1*Windows, Windows 2008 R2 x64 - 64-bit Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
This is a scam
The instance does not provide what its description says.
Octane Render Cloud Edition is still vaporware.
All this instance does is demo the remote connection via a web browser. Everything else you want to do with it you'll have to configure yourself.

This AMI is not user ready.
This image is far from being ready. Had to install VStudio, update the Cuda API and driver, install 3DS max, deploy the Octane plug-in, configure 3DS max use octane, fix the windows registry so that Octane could see the GPU.
A whole day is lost when this could have been pre-configured in the AWS AMI. I am not too impressed considering that AWS is charging the AMI during that time and sells it as Octane Workstation ready.
Octane cloud didn't work for me
I tried this application streaming to my computer on RDP and on Chrome. The feed to my computer was slow, very blotchy, and filled with artifacts. I tried it wired and wireless. No difference. My internet connection (cable for business) is quite fast, so I think it is a program issue. It is unusable for me because of this issue.
not ready for primetime
I was able to view the desktop and full screen 3D games from OTOYs browser client. At 1-5 fps and less than 600p resolution with extreme compression artifacts occupying the majority of the screen.
