Far superior to the unifi firewall
What do you like best about the product?
I can easily implement fine grain control and access for multiple vlans. Many plugins avaible to easily expand capabilites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very accessible via mobile browsers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides reliable border security.

Robust, great thoughput, stable and extremley reliable.
What do you like best about the product?
The product provides high level of security with high troughput, and is extremely relaible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit daunting with a high learning curve to set up the first time, for a non technical person.

Reliable firewall platform, that allows me to work at home without interuption in connection nor degraded connection speed.

Support is fast. Tickets are responded to (near) instantly. Issues understood and speedily resolved. Love it!

Nothing to dislike really. This was and has been a very easy relationship.

Granular control of elements at our network's edge(s).
Ten years of experience in using pfssense, more than forty firewalls administered.
What do you like best about the product?
The software is flexible, working well in KVM-type VMs that I mainly use. With a little practice you can do anything with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are required features that have been lost for years and never implemented, such as a centralized administration console for sets of firewalls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Routing, centralized VPN, firewall.

What do you like best about the product?
The documentation is incredibly detailed, and easy to follow. Everything just works. Any snags I've run into have been quickly resolved. Setup is super easy, and the capabilites are well beyond what I imagined

I have yet to find anything I dislike. The application has been perfect for our environment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business culture in this area is hesitant to spend money. Trying to sell a "Brand Name" firewall and subscription for 3x the price and the same capabilites would have been impossible
One stop shopping for most small to mid sized applications
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, Sense of security, and lots of add-on's to grow into later on. Configuration is relatively easy once you learn what its about and have some hands on experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates happen about 3x per year and Im not sure if that is enough in todays environment.

Separating VLan traffic and filtering that traffic

I like its flexibility and, for me at least, logical layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little complex, but that's the nature of networking. I moved away from using a Unifi USG because of its lack of flexibility, so a little complexity is the price one must pay. I prefer that over the more cookbook approach that Unifi takes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flexibly manage traffic among a set of VLANs and connect to two other sites and our AWS cloud servers and apps.
