Great stable AMI for cPanel Usage
I have 2 cPanel DNS Only Servers that was built using the CentOS 6.5 (x86_64) - Release Media AMI as the base image.
The install and setup of cPanel DNS Only Server went smooth and fast using the CentOS 6.5 (x86_64) - Release Media AMI as the base image.
I would have gave 5 stars if the CentOS 6.5 (x86_64) - Release Media AMI as the base image was more focused to the cPanel server settings.
These items below need to be changed to be function better for security reasons in cPanel.
Server Check
Check for dhclient - dhclient appears to be running which suggests that the server is obtaining an IP address via DHCP. This can pose a security risk. You should configure static IP addresses for all Ethernet controllers.
Check for swap file -The server appears to have no swap file. This is usually considered a stability and performance risk. You should either add a swap partition, or create one via a normal file on an existing partition.
Other than that it is good.

Solid OS for a fast start
If you are used to RHEL, Fedora or CentOS then this image will get you going quickly. The iptables firewall allow only port 22 by default so you will need to add additional ports for your services.
Nice Base Image
I like the way the CentOS 6.5 Image has been created to be a minimal install with only what is necessary. This way, it is a great choice for doing a scratch install of any stack or platform on it.
