Am not able to get the MySql passwords for root and zabbix and so, am not able to connect the database. I have not made any modifications in the server conf file, yet in logs too it shows fatal error. I have tried logging in manually using the password given in zabbix-server.conf file. Nothing is working. Any help will be appreciated.

Are there already any plans to upgrade your AWS AMI for Zabbix to the new version 3? Would be great.

Hmmm, twenty words about how it works perfectly... Well, I'm not super-advanced, and I was able to get it to work, so I'd say it is great.

Installation was fast and worked immediately.

Some folks complain about passwords, and I believe that is due to confusion about where to use passwords. The username/pw described in the instructions are for access to the web UI for the Zabbix installation. The root logon for the CentOs installation is ec2-user.

If you have never connected to a linux ec2 instance it can be a bit confusing, but this installation works exactly as it should.

After 10+ years installing and managing Zabbix, it was quite refreshing to instantly turn on an instance in AWS.

Well done Abookaa!

Works great. Username is Admin, and not admin (as appear at Zabbix documentation).
Zabbix itself is rather complicated to configure properly.
