Best analytics platform for complex data
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire SDK, allows us to do just about anything in a script that you would otherwise do through the graphical user interface. We really love the variety of visualizations available and responsiveness with large datasets. And the possibility of running R code is simply great!
What do you dislike about the product?
A little bit expensive for some clients, no open publication environment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We created incredible bioinformatics software tools on top of Tibco Spotfire. It was very easy to reuse existing R code and create guided analysis workiflows

The ability of the software to predict a sensible visual for organizational and presentation materials.

It can at times be confusing to navigate without support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing testing scores for student reading ability as well as tracking behavioral outcomes based off previous behavioral tracking forms. The program allows for projection predictions based off historical data.

Amazing support network provided when you encounter challenges or need insight on how to navigate the data set you are looking to organize.
Great tool for data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
I like the the feature where one can create comprehensive dashboard that on the PC platforms and I am also impressed by its data analysis and visualization on PCs. I can easily to create visualizations and connect them between dependent data and filters.
What do you dislike about the product?
I has a sort of complex user interface. In my initial days, I find it difficult as it was little different than most products. Therefore, as an amateur user, one may take some more time learn the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Specifically, we create dashboards with TIBCO for PC. The capability of this tool to self publish and manage dashboards without external IT support greatly saved our time while project delivery.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a flexible tool that has a ability to integrate variety of other tools. I found it very easy while extending with Python Scripting.
Great data analytics tool for businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire is a great tool that has great data connectors (flat files, SQL server, etc.), APIs, data visualization capabilities, and BI funcionalities. It handles large data sets easily, without any performance issue, plus it has a very intuitive user interface that helps users to learn how to use it easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the UI is easy to understand, you can't do everything using the menus. If you want a bit more complex analytics, you have to learn the scripting language of the tool. Creating computed fields should be easier and less time consuming. Finally, customer support should be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Spotfire to create interactive reporting dashboards, to help management (finance and procurement) make better decisions. With a single view on their data, and the interactive charts, they were able to see patterns that helped to make better decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My one piece of advice is that you should familiarize yourself with the tool before deciding to go with it, as it may be a rather expensive solution if it does not suit your organizational needs.

We can easily visualize our data which makes our works easier. Because of his artificial intelligence, search the data very easy in this software.

The cost of this software is very costly as compare to other software as too many features available in this software.

TIBCO Spotfire is a very complex system. It works very efficiently and has an easy-to-use interface.

Almost nothing, sometimes I have a problem with finding information in the documentation. I think that doucterment needs improvement.

Very Intuitive BI Tools with a slew of Features
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy and intuitive the interface was for building views. You did not need to be a Guru to get things done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scripting is a bit clunky and there is not a great interface for its interactions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I was using it, primarily used it for creating dashboard-like views for end-users requiring roll-ups or amalgamations of massive amounts of data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate the Desktop Application and the Cloud Offering. Both have pluses and minuses that should be considered.

What do you like best about the product?
Beautiful and simple analytics. Dashboards that are impressive for clients. Making data great again! It's also great with real-time stats.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a while to discover all of the possibilities. Also, they can work a bit more on pricing to make it affordable for everyone. Everyone needs beautiful data :)

Spotfire’s ability to recognize data and automatically sort is very helpful. And The visualization options are unparalleled.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s so powerful that it can overwhelm. And may even require extensive training before users feel comfortable.

I can sort thru massive amounts of data with countless visualization options. Using spotfire saves time.
