Good concept but clunky
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the dashboards created can be published to a server and shared throughout an organization through a web browser. Other products require additional software to be installed in order to open up a shared dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not very intuitive to use. There are is a lot of clicking around and navigating to other settings and menus. Sometimes the menus are not in the place that you think they should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to provide dashboards that everyone throughout the organization can use and have ready at their fingertips. It is really handy to have this information at the ready for them. It saves my team a lot of time to not have to scramble to put something together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The support we receive may be part of the contract that our company signed. We currently are not offered any support from TIBCO Spotfire.

I think Spotfire can have more intuitive data cleaning features

Better tech support and especially FAQ, tutorials, and certifications

What do you like best about the product?
The easiness to use and the options of various editions available to select from. The efficiency and simple ways you can build your data visualization are amazing. Very helpful with data analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Manual training is required when performing advanced work. Lacks documentation support for external domain authentication is case of advanced infrastructure. Administration panel could be improved for fewer direct interactions with servers.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the best on Spotfire the ability to integrate javascript libraries easily. It will enable you to create custom visualizations. Also the data handling in javascripts is very good because spotfire will give it to you in JSON format.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like on Spotfire is sometimes it crashed and you cannot do anything to restore your changes.

Tibco spotfire help us deliver limitless dashboard. We are able to deliver any type of visualization demand.

Spotfire is a recommended software very flexible and scalable.
An awesome analytics engine if you're advanced enough to use everything
What do you like best about the product?
TIBCO Spotfire is very user friendly with lots of analytics capabilities. The capabilities to do all sorts of advanced analytics is what sets it apart.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire is great for advanced analytical modeling. The software also produces very nice visualization results, but the business intelligence/ visualization results are not as nice as competing tools. Analytics takes priority over visulas, which is a shame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire is used for web scraping, visualization, and machine learning. It does these jobs quite well.
Great software but I don't need it
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Spotfire off and on for many years and it is now more powerful and easier to use than ever. I really do love Spotfire and I recommend it to others regularly. But, I don't use it much myself.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess the only problem is that I don't really need easy, I want more power and flexibility. Spotfire is great for the "Apple" crowd, but I'm a Windows/Android/Linux guy and a programmer (SQL, R, Python, Powershell, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clinical and translational research, genomics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, machine learning, etc.
Clunky Transition to Cloud

ability to join data tables by Key/common column; ease of use for creating visualizations
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to remove the line from Combo charts. The platform was undergoing a transition at the time of adoption which was very clunky and heavy with user admin burdens.

Biotech R&D solutions are reached utilizing data curated in Spotfire.
Useful to improve visualization of large number of data
What do you like best about the product?
It is very friendly user and helps you to be more organized with classification and analysis of data, it also has an option to have a statistical analysis and prediction.
What do you dislike about the product?
The statistical area, for example trend lines, prediction and forecast is not so explicit to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Steamflooding evaluation based on the correlation of 56 properties (reservoir, geological, operational) for 40 fields worldwide, by recreating trend lines and agruppation of data to have a better analysis of the phenomena seen in the text.

TIBCO Spotfire provides an intuitive User Interface that makes it easy to add and modify visualizations and dashboards.

The Cloud interface is very limited in the data sources and visualizations that can be used.

We are solving business problems of getting data into the right hands when it needs to be there. We are working to empower end users to access real-time data quicker than ever. Spotfire allows for increased productivity as users spend less time getting data and more time making decisions.

While there are multiple competitors in the industry, TIBCO Spotfire provides an enterprise ready software platform that can provide business benefits to both operational teams and IT teams.
