Great visualization software
What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to quickly and easily make something useful out of data which I can present to clients or the business and make a lasting impact.
What do you dislike about the product?
Software can be tricky to use at time. Help is not the best and there are so many options in the software it can be a real pain to get it to do what you want the first time around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have shown that potential areas and markets that are not yet realized using data which I've visualized in spotfire.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to play around in the software as much as you can to learn the capabilities and what it can do.

What do you like best about the product?
TIBCO Spotfire does a great job at providing default visualizations that are easy to follow. The software also integrates nicely with other tools, such as R.
What do you dislike about the product?
The default font size is not likeable and it doesn't seem to play well with new computers with ultra-high definition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TIBCO Spotfire is used for advanced analytics and real-time data visualization.

Be able to implement R codes into Spotfire

I am new on where to look for help. The community is OK, but when trying to install libraries or have to debug my R code I do not where to kook for help or examples. I need to do a Google/StackOverflow search to be able to adapt my problem to what's been published.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Decline Curve Analysis and generating user friendly dashboards.

I'm using Spotfire to visualize wells production data. the size of the data is huge and Spotfire is handling it so steadily

I'd recommend Spotfire for any professional looking for visualization and data analytics tool. its a powerful and flexible software that can do many functions and tasks

The high quality graphics that can be used and data manipulation tools available to present data in new and informative ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be challenging to pick up and tutorials can be lacking for complete beginners.

Spotfire is allowing our group to discover new compound hits within out screens and allows for a deeper understanding of the data we are analyzing.

I am Mainly using it for bioinformatics analysis. And it gives insight of data set From different angles.
Spotfire for O&G
What do you like best about the product?
Everything. Fluid and very easy to analyze large data sets. Increases productivity 10 fold. Much better tool to use versus excel. By being able to bring in large amounts of data easily, it has made my life much better and more productive. Easiliy calcualting columns and visualing data. Mapping is so much easier when compared to other softwares.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there was an easier way to join certain data tables and possibly create fluid relationships. Better accessibility to TERR tools that have been created by the community. If the column functions had some more examples or if Tibco outputted a dashboard with examples of everything that would help as well. Connecting to SQL servers is kind of nonintuitive and a lot of duplicated connections can be made. Also, speeding up the import process of very large excel files would make things a bit better. I've had to migrate data to SQL just because it takes 5 minutes to open the dashboard. Being able to intersect shapefiles with marker data as a relation would be really useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Production engineering, reservoir engineering, and completions engineering. Analyzing designs and finding trends in big data. Benifits are that is much easier analyzing big data in spotfire versus excel. It makes excel seem outdated and less useful than it was in the past. Easier to view SQL as well.

If you want to analyze data fast and efficiently this is the best way to go.
Using Spotfire in agriculture
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easiness how plots can be changed and filtered to find patterns in the data
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is not free, sometimes other people don't have it and I cannot share the files
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it with digital agriculture data, to analyze spatial information. The main benefit is how easy I can explore the data.
