Keep your R and Python - my go to for scientific data analysis is Spotfire
What do you like best about the product?
The rapidity with which Spotfire plots means that I can, in a very unbiased way, plot my data in as many ways as possible. I have found that relative to people plotting using programming - I am more experimental and come up with more original plots - only because I am constantly plotting in different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
My group has started to use *.parquet files and I need to have someone transform these into *.csv files. I would prefer direct and easy reading of parquet style files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Massive data sets for input of AI models as well as quality control of AI output. Correlation between raw data and ML output. The ability to successfully handle and rapidly plot large datasets is unparalleled.

Powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
TIBCO Spotfire has helped me accomplish tasks that would take HOURS to get done using other spreadsheet softwares.
What do you dislike about the product?
Visualizations sometimes require more complex steps to achieve a goal. For example, adding a zoom button or desired grid lines to a line chart are not simple options and need a work around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create dashboards has made it easy for my team to answer questions quicker.

What do you like best about the product?
As an IT professional, I found the documentation and installation scripts to set up the software very helpful. I was able to set up a Microsoft SQL Server and TIBCO Spotfire Server quickly for a rapid solution for all of the end users. They seem to be very satisfied with the Data Analytics toolset that TIBCO provides over the previous toolset, including R and R Studio.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am having issues downloading the offline maps for the map data. I followed the instructions here: https://community.tibco.com/s/article/tibco-spotfire-work-offline-map-using-custom-map-service-url but the process has taken months and still copying zoom level 12. I understand the suggestion to only download up to zoom level 10 for offline networks, but my users requested a higher level zoom. Are there any other options to get a copy of the map data shipped to my address from a thumb drive?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TIBCO Spotfire is used primarily to plot data fed from MySQL databases to better picture time, lat, long, etc. relative to the world map. This ability wasn't feasible before and Data Analysts had to create anything of this nature manually. TIBCO Spotfire saves tremendous time and gives our data a much better representation.

Spotfire versatility and easy-to-use platform allow our Team to perform fast and optimized work on all related data handling and analysis

We use a desktop license, and sometimes accessing libraries is a challenge, but customer service team is always helpful

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use TIBCO Spotfire provides to generate models that incorporate data providing the most incredible visibility into our business has our Executive team in awe.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was nothing our developers and users found challenging that would constitute "disliking" any part of Spotfire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we initially demoed the Tibco platform, our COO was AMAZED at the efficiency with which Spotfire consolidated information and seamlessly allowed that data to be viewed from many different perspectives.
Excellent front end of a great ecosystem
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire is so easy to use and to learn. It can do all the business intelligence that other softwares do, such as Power BI, Tableau and Qlik, but additionally it can do a lot more. Really a lot. Spotfire is not only a complete BI tool, it is also a complete and performant software to create and deploy data products, fully functional and scalable data science and AI solutions that can be easily used by business speople.
Tons of connectors to data sources, best integration on the market both with R and Python, great capabilities in geonalytics and visualisations. Cloud and web native attitude, a huge number of embedded super fast functions for data preparation and data enrichment.

What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately a version for Mac OS is still missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connection to data sources, data preparation, data analysis, creation of amazing dashboards, and deployment of AI/ML models. As all these things are super fast and easy with Spotfire, it comes out that Spotfire let me save days and days of work, providing professional results with minimum effort.

Spotfire can handle big data and it's easy to do filtering and comparison in the Spotfire

So far, I am still building my learning curve. Data function is my next course.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's very easy to link data and do filtering.
Very Good product, can become a market leader?
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to connect to several data sources, easy to integrate with multi-factor authentication. Very user friendly, a lot of graphics and customization possibilities using code.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be more graphics (radar chard is an example). Also, it's not clear the focus of the product, is it visualization, is it statistics? Also compatibility among version might be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TIBCO Spotfire is helping my company to visualize data and customize analytics, in a much faster "time to market" compared to the current ERPs, quickly responding to business users and top management.
Super flexible tool for big and small applications
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility in how I can view and select my data, from selecting points on a map to grabbing data straight from a table. I've tried PowerBI and I found that quite limiting in this area.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there was something I didn't like about Spotfire is that the plots are not the best looking. Yes, I could do quite a bit of formatting to make things look better, but the default settings should look a little more aesthetically pleasing than what it currently does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to scout/scan well data across Western Canada. With all of the public and proprietary data I have, this is a great platform to bring everything together.
Spotfire is the Most Dynamic Data Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire is incredibly user-friendly and dynamic. You can take an insane amount of data and quickly make sense of it. The visuals are stunning and it's so much quicker than using similar spreadsheet-type programs to generate plots and graphs. Spotfire also can dig deep into data analytics, and allows its users to get quite advanced in their data analytics and visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spotfire can be difficult at times if the user is trying to do a more complex combination plot. For instance, defaults use trellis panels when at times, it would be better to use multiple axes. An intermediate user can quickly navigate through these intricacies though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire quickly takes my data and puts together plots that I can use to send off for presentations, or use to create additional, dig-down analytics. Before Spotfire, this process was slow and tedious.
