Splunk is effecient in data analytics
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly UI which helped us in monitoring application

Still exploring the app so haven’t explored all options and in progress. So far it’s good.

Helps in monitoring our application. Helps in alerting if any issues within application

Splunk makes searching through tons of data very easy.

There is a learning curve to create complex queries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Splunk allows customer support to troubleshoot and see where things go wrong. This reduces back and forth and the need to involve IT OPs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Takes time to set up but it's worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy being able to not only view the logs but identify the personnel that made the changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do feel there is more to be desired with the search function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to have a true centralized system in which can capture logs on all our network devices.

Splunk is very flexible tool which helps our team with effective logging and troubleshooting. It also helps with amazing dashboarding which helps our Business analaysts and Product Owners

Licensing is a little expensive. Support and documentation can be improved too.

We use is organization wide and it is used by multipla teams - Devs, product, Ops, Management.

Splunk solves all my IT problems
What do you like best about the product?
If my data is in Splunk then I can answer questions almost at the speed of thought. We have not had a use case where Splunk failed to achieve the results. The quality of the software is high. When someone says Splunk gave me the wrong answer, I usually find that they asked the wrong question.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost model is prohibitive for some use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying issues with factory automation software.
Unbelievalbly easy to setup
Very easy to setup and get Splunk Enterprise up and running almost instantly. Since Splunk is the best of breed SIEM and log analysis/correlation tool, this is fantastic.

What do you like best about the product?
Splunk Enterprise is the best of what's out there for event correlation. It is very extensible and can take almost any kind of data with a little work. FANTASTIC for searching data and identifying correlations and patterns, or a lack of correlation and patterns to identify the anomalies.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is pretty expensive when you start to ingest all the data and setting up alerts and automated detections is more difficult, but it can be done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Incident response and malware hunting are much easier to do, including scoping an incident

Make sure you have enough infrastructure and it is configured properly

Quickly ingest any data ( machine , structured or unstructured), and produce analytics and visualization to drive the business value.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is little bit expensive in terms of License cost but we can still do somethings with the free license limit.

Increase automation and resource optimization through monitoring and analytics. Identified opportunities to save cost, resources and time.

Splunk is a great product which will help to quickly realize the value of data and demonstrate to clients.

Splunk has thorough logging and makes it very easy to sort and filter based on a specific timeframe.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve to Splunks query language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Splunk for capturing the logs of our XML Firewall. The logs are much more granular than using what is offered in the Firewall application.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick lists of CA Agile data at your finger tips. Splunk gives quick views of queries rapidly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to validate the data because it is another way to pull the same CAAC data and you want to make sure the report is accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting for Test Case and Defect reporting for User Acceptance Testing. All other data from CA Agile is available for reporting.
