Splunk has changed like this?

What do you like best about the product?
Splunk has traditionally shown strong performance in APM. Especially compared to other competing products, it has an advantage.

It is still a strong and good solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Cisco acquired it, the pricing policy and other features are still unclear.
Of course, I expect that a good company will acquire it and create good synergy to further expand the business, but I have a strong feeling that they are not ready yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best feature of Splunk is APM.
You can see everything you want. (Of course, except for the things you can't see..)
If you ask the developer, more than 95% of all functions can be implemented.
You can extract only the data you want and see it, you can see the entire system at a glance, and you can see a variety of functions according to your purpose.

Splunk Enterprise AMI doesn't exists in AWS China Market Place

We have noticed that this Splunk Enterprise AMI doesn't exists in China AWS Market Place, is there any possibility of adding the AMI to CN?

What do you like best about the product?
Analytics engine, functionality and Dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price increase move to cloud, support flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Log collection and management for a different need, security, Monitoring, and analysis i.e. Error forensic etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fix the prices, read the contracts carefully, and keep an eye on the volume. Use Splunk selectively plan and monitor the data volume

Login issue on 8.2.2 Version "Server error"

I launched a new Splunk Enterprise instance, But when trying to login, I am getting "server error".
I used the following details to login
username : admin
password : SPLUNK-<InstanceId>
password example : SPLUNK-i-11111aaaaa11111aaa

Any information or tips will be helpful

I have launched Splunk Enterprise v 8.0.0.
But unable to login with the given credentials in the Usage instructions.
If possible can any one share your opinions how it works?

I even can't login.
I got an error after installing this AMI:
Your license is expired.

Please login as an administrator to update the license.

I'll just say that nothing has been easy in getting this to work. I'm not sure what is so easy when I can't even seem to get it installed on a windows or mac.

Great search, not so great UI

What do you like best about the product?
The ability in Splunk to search for errors online and without having to SSH or Telnet into a console would have to be the best feature of Splunk by far.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to then simply review and investigate a particular log message would have to be the biggest downfall of the platform. Text is presented in the tokenised view and it definitely isnt intuitive on how log messages and the surrounding (preceding or proceeding) logs can be viewed easily... if it’s possible I still haven’t figured it out after 12 months of using the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to determine if an error occurred, not great at determining other errors in the lead up to a particular problem however.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Improve the search result UI would have a dramatic improvement on usability. Not living up to the dream in it’s current state.
