Stable operating system
What do you like best about the product?
Oracle Linux has a strong focus on security, with features like SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux) and auditing capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited desktop support is primarily focused on server and enterprise environments, and may not have the same level of support for desktop environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Linux is optimized for performance, with features like kernel optimizations and memory management.

What do you like best about the product?
We use oracle linux in our enviroment for a decade , it performs better with oracle database , easy knowledge base. Best support team who works 24/7 to troubleshoot. Available for on-prem & in cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not compatible with all hardware vendors , integration with other database wil be bit difficult. The major dislike is the cost , it's not affordable by small cap/mid cap companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System Uptime will be maintained , runs excellently with oracle database which gives excellent performance. Zero downtime automated patching will be achieved in oracle linux environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zero downtime patching feature , performance will be good with oracle DB.

What do you like best about the product?
Oracle Linux is same as Redhat Enterprise Linux when it is running on standard Redhat compatible kernel
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like their UEK kernel (UEK: Oracle's Unbreakable Enterpirse Kernel)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Regular Linux Applications such as LAMP. Benefits are you don't have to pay for support.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Oracle may force you to pay licenses to use Oracle Linux - look at what they did to Jave SE. But this is only a concern so far.

Compatibility with Oracle products like WebLogic and Oracle DB

Updates and patch management schedules are little deviated and command line is a little different

Oracle Linux can be used and preferred if you want to closely tie with Oracle Products

Most of the product development companies and developer communities support Linux operating system which give lot of option to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Oracle Linux of virtual machines are bit slow.

Used for Oracle Database’s and fusion middleware applications
Simple and easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
Good to use, pretty easy and simple to implement and understand. This product is probably one of the cheapest options that you can go for as well which makes it a good selling point and definitely one of the better options to choose from. With the simplicity of the Oracle Linux, it makes it better to integrate to users that may be new to the product or into the industry. It also is a very stable product, haven't really had any problems so far with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI is so outdated, would make for a better one if they were to update it to look a lot more modern even though its purpose is to give the user practicality, but in doing so, it just doesn't look nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very stable, able to use without a lot of problems, very affordable for the user, meaning that you don't have to go to a lot of expense to use a great system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are one for productivity, this is definitely a tool that you want to be using, it offers the user a reliable and stable platform to be working from, despite the GUI looking outdated, then this is definitely a product that I would recommend you to use.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite features are it's open source and being hotested off site.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems like a bit of a knockoff of redhat who might still be doing it better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting our storage off site. Less manpower and real estate required to support our mission critical data.
