Alternate OS to replace the CentOS

  • January 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Oracle Linux is one of the best alternatives for CentOS, which was discontinued last year.
We can easily convert the existing CentOS workload to Oracle Linux seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see anything to dislike about the current Oracle Linux OS, which met all production workloads.
If the basis support price is reduced, then it would be very competitive in the market; Oracle may consider this .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usually, when we switch from one Linux distro to another distro in Linux, it is painful with the conversion process and issues.
But Oracle provided a custom script which works efficiently to convert from CentOS to Oracle Linux
