We can't upgrade the yum with a specific release

All the admin job's and yum is good and free and also KVM setup is very good (OLVM)

What do you like best about the product?
Oracle is the best Linux i have used in cloud and it gives better performance and high security for web servers and also it's the best os for running web servers

There is nothing much to dislike the Oracle Linux some of the package need to be fixed.

I would recommend Oracle Linux operating system for who wants Better performance for there web application servers.
Free tier. Optimized performance from OS level.
What do you like best about the product?
Since the OS is designed specifically for running a database instance and its services, everything is more streamlined, robust, reliable and the performance is as good as it gets. Adding the fact that its essentially free and you only pay for support makes it an ideal choice for SME.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you plan on running many services on a single server that does not have support for Linux, you don't have a choice but to virtualize Oracle Linux or go for the Windows version of Oracle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running Oracle Linux instead of the Windows version of Oracle has greatly reduced the system resources required for the same processing. Transactions simply get done much faster. Given the robust nature of Linux vs Windows, the downtime is almost none existant.

Whether you are an SME or a large enterprise, using Oracle Linux has many advantages being affordable (free if you can manage it in-house) and scalable for a variety of environments.

We use oracle linux in our enviroment for a decade , it performs better with oracle database , easy knowledge base. Best support team who works 24/7 to troubleshoot. Available for on-prem & in cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not compatible with all hardware vendors , integration with other database wil be bit difficult. The major dislike is the cost , it's not affordable by small cap/mid cap companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System Uptime will be maintained , runs excellently with oracle database which gives excellent performance. Zero downtime automated patching will be achieved in oracle linux environment.

Zero downtime patching feature , performance will be good with oracle DB.
