Bring data to life
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau has an easy interface to navigate. It enhances data discovery and understanding within our business organizations. It has simple features, easily accessible data and can easily create reports and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation wasn't as easy as anticipated. There were a lot of bumps and nuances along the way. There were things we were unable to anticipate to integrate so wouldn't blame Tableau for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data, data, data. We needed a way to bring data to life to our key leaders and our reporting prior wasn't cutting it and wasn't as accurate as we needed it to be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create a structured plan for internal members prior to implementation. set clear expectations for users and team members. Hold multiple training sessions as early as possible.

Our insurance clients love the analytics that come from this platform. They are very detailed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to customize on the back end.

It gives our clients personalized views of their audiences.
Great tool for visualizations
What do you like best about the product?
Tool does a phenomenal job with visualizations. UI is very user friendly and easy to understand. Tool provides great flexibility for various visualizations and enables user to modify exact elements. Would likely recommend as a platform so people to import data sets to produce eye pleasing visualizations when compared to other alternative products. The result is better insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates are slightly irritating and disables a given versions until update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly used to producing visual graphics for data after analysis. Content is very eye pleasing and easy to operate. Final product readily conveys intended information.

Very good investment. The tools this product provides are well worth the cost and the benefit will be readily apparent.

You can customize your data graphs and charts easily. This will make it visually appealing.

There should be one free version of it so it become more popular like other data analysis software.

The integration and Visualization capabilities, treatment of data , connecting with data source , drag and drop analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
There is less downsides to it but its should me made free of cost for basic analysis or for testing period of 1 year. The licensing cost can be reduced

It's simple and easy to start work with. The administration is pretty much the same as working on Windows administration. Easy to deploy dashboards to different devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its hard to categorize as a dislike but the out of box analytics features can be improved. Like predictive analytics follows only one particular algorithm to predict the values.

Scheduled reporting to different departments was simple automation with this tool. Solved the silo effect between our departments and share the resources through the same

Easy and excellent tool for visualization
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy tool to understand and use. It works on SQL so it is really easy to handle data. Plus calculated fields make it easier to drive analysis in an efficient way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, it is an excellent tool. But while adding calculated fields, i would suggest if they could add some common formulas. Like while creating population density by zip code. When there is zip code and population available in data set, and it would be helpful if you can have pre-defined calculated field made already!
Likewise there are more use-cases which could be really helpful while analysis.

I use tableau for visualization. I have created dashboard to keep track of all major parameters in my team.

Best tool for story-telling
What do you like best about the product?
It helps to analyze data to create insights that cannot be seen from the data. It helps to build a story for the data and make better business decisions for the stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Tableau that it is not open source. I mean it has trial version but after that we have to pay for it to use it. Atleast, they should've released a open-source version with less functionalities for public use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any business problems can be solved. Anything problem that has complex data will need visualizations and this tool is best choice for that.
