Tableau enables pixel perfect visualization for the data enthusiast
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau rich set of dashboard building controls enables you to build any dashboard you can imagine. This enables data focused individuals to build very elaborate visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
All of the customizations features can become overwhelming and create a steeper learning curve than other platforms. With the ability to control every detail of visualization creation, the time to get insights to users takes longer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to centraltize data from multiple sources and tell a data story to both mangers and end users. This includes the harmonization of disparate data fields and the online access for remote workers.

Great tool but still much to evolve

Easy to modify and get insights from. Charts are very informative

Still more features that are not possible to do with tableau:
Notifications, notes, user input is very limited

License Dashboard in my company to measure adoption of all of Cisco customers
Positive overall - not a developer but find that report building is intuitive and data is helpful

I don't know enough about how to build reports

Data and sales analytics. Utilization metrics and pulling reporting that we can't do currently in salesforce
Best data blending and calculation bi tool
What do you like best about the product?
I think the data blending and calculation capabilities are better than most other bi tools. The visualization options can be used to answer many business problems
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like there to be better understanding across datasets. For example when there is a case difference in a blended field, it reads as two different inputs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau is allowing me to share insights to internal and external customers by sharing embedded analytics, the desktop app, or tableau reader. The ease of sharing has led to quicker response time for initiatives.

The reports and visuals are very business friendly and easy to absorb by a wide variety of audience

I wouldn't say there is much to dislike. It's a great entry level tool

Flexibility and capacity to bring new data relationships understand live to the business perspective, capturing momentum and value for many type of users on daily basis.

Sometimes create and maintain big structures of views need big effort and it may take some time and lost best time to market usage, looking on business perspective initiatives

Really data consolidation for an global view of many matters, being capable to delivery to business users a easy view of their capacities and operations. This generate velocity on ready reports

Honestly, the best thing about Tableau for me it's his maps tools, they are so easy to work with and the possibilities are infinite.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their accessibility regarding new users, it takes a lot to learn how to work properly with some tools, for me at least I had such a difficult time to get the sources methodology

Tableau helped me to create an analysis based on geography location, to understand where our sales performed better and where we would need to improve.
Tableau Reporting and Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything that I need to see can be programmed to show up in 1 place, and easily exported to an Excel sheet that can be sorted/filtered and tailored to fit my needs. This makes reviewing data so much easier for me and my team. The data could be placed all on one page, and in different groups which is even more helpful and much more convenient than having to go through multiple reports to find what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing that I dislike about Tableau is how slow the servers can be. Sometimes the website lags and the reporting could be delayed up to 5mins+. This could be very frustrating when you are trying to quickly identify issues, and come up with a solution when you have problems, but rely on the reporting to show you what the potential problem could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
right now Tableau is solving the problem of having to sort through multiple reports from different sources to track and analyze data that is used to gauge performance and identify areas of improvement, along with any potential issues that require an immediate solution.

Best visualization tool for Data Analysis and Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I like its easy drag and drop, can also give granular data insights. Love the different types of charts and graphs can be created. Love the option to write calculated metrics as per our need
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of tableau is slight high. Also blending of two tables is not preferrable. The live data connection of the dashboard with database is a bit slow and takes time to refresh
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helps me visualize the data using large datasets. Created more accurate dashboards which were not able to create in excel. Our analysis and performance has increased by using tableau which gave us accurate insights for our next brand campaign.
