A complete budget firewall solution
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda firewall cloud gen provides a scalable and modular outside the mainly name in this product compound (Forti, Paloalto for example) without renounce on security and functional solution but with less budget needed
What do you dislike about the product?
Segregation on profiles could be more granular, could be difficult to configure on big team with different position and mansion
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whole firewalling (vpn, segregation on vlan, navigation on white list etc) without big budget

A true shield against the dark.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Barracuda Firewalls is their adaptability in regards to the variety of ways they can protect a network from a threat, whether it be inside the network or targeting from some far corner of the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside, really, is manually configuring nearly every setting. That said, once you become well versed in how to navigate, set up and operate the firewall rules, objects and aspects of the network(s) you're running, that downside becomes a strength.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've helped contain an infection of WannaCry Ransomware, configure firewall rules to allow a multitude of different programs or functions to work properly while still shielding the network from threats and given our customers the means to remotely connect to their networks and securely access their shared folder systems in a safe and convenient way. I'm sure there will be a great deal more I'll realize in the future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We're currently working on implementing Barracuda Sentinel in the field, in conjunction with Barracuda Cloudgen Firewalls but there are so many other devices and applications in the Barracuda world. I encourage you to head over to www.barracuda.com and have a look at what they can offer.
Great email protector!
What do you like best about the product?
This is a great software that monitors my work email so I don't get spam or bugged emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that this software blocks some emails that do not contain bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software protects my work email from getting hacked or bugged. It is helpful in keeping my information safe.

Solid firewall
What do you like best about the product?
Definitely ease of use is what I like best. It has protected our company for years without any security issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
None actually. Maybe a few minor issues navigating the GUI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits are saving us thousands by blocking potential threats.

It's a great system that will handle all your spam filtering needs. Our Barracuda also uses the advanced licensing to scan and block email malicious attachments and links.

What do you like best about the product?
The support is the best part about the Barracuda Firewall's and any Barracuda product for that matter. We have a few of their products and their support is the best in the industry. They by far go above and beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a full blown web management interface on the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has already caught quite a number of issues for us. The IPS has done a great job alerting us to when something suspicious is going on. This lets us be able to see things as they occur real time. It is also our means of controlling our bandwidth usage. We especially like the fact that we can shape traffic based on not just IP events, but also by applications using up all of our bandwidth.

What do you like best about the product?
It keeps spam out of my email. I don't like a cluttered email box and I love being about to block domains.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we can't just push a button in Outlook any more. It is a pain to have to go to the Barracuda website to block emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps my email uncluttered and lessens the chance I will click on a malevolent email link or download bad viruses.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect about this software is that it has the capability to protect all of your devices within the same program.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about this software at this point. I think it is fast, affordable and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making us more comfortable that we are not being hacked or losing any of our private information in cyberspace.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely try using this software over anything else on the market.
I have been a user of Barracuda Firewall. The only frustration I have is how good the software is!
What do you like best about the product?
If, I owned a business I would want to implement something like this. The main items my employer does not want employees to access are shut down entirely. It's amazing how they are able to ensure certain sites are not permitted.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is entirely frustrating to have to deal with cites you need to use or business use blocked by Barracuda. I see why an employer would wish to have this software in place however. It is also difficult to have a cite lifted from the ban.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company had a lot of difficulties in the past with users slacking off and not doing the required work during work hours. Now they are more focused because they have to be. We have also seen an increase in security and have been less prone to hacks. It has been good working with Barracuda to get this increased security.

Yes, it is clear our company has benefited from using this type of software. It has been good to see our team get better at managing their time.
Great Firewall and Security Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda has an easy to use interface and configuration is not only very versatile, but very logical.
Weather you have a few users or an entire fleet, this option will keep you covered.

What do you dislike about the product?
Basic setup is logical and easy, more custom and complicated setups require a higher than average knowledge of firewalls and network logistics. Not a big issue, but startups may be challenged if they do not have access to higher end resources
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Barracuda to safeguard not only our network from intrusion but to limit our internal liability due to unauthorized "surfing".

Do your homework, be sure that you know what you need, Barracuda is a great tool but not perfect for every application. Be sure to purchase the proper tool for you job and you will be happy with your purchase!
Excellent client to site VPN solution
Client needed a client to site VPN solution - they didn't want to use an open source solution and did not want to have a Windows server (RRAS) for this. This solution is firewall and VPN but was implemented for client to site VPN for access to their AWS VPC in the event of a disaster. We may expand functionality in the future but right now we are happy to have the secure client-site solution working. Product was relatively easy to configure with the documentation provided. We did reach out to tech support to help fine tune configuration and their tech support was excellent - knowledgeable engineer reached on the first call and issue resolved in the single call. Very happy with the choice and important to know that good tech support is available if needed.
