This has been great for cost management of Wowza servers that don't need to be running 24/7, but that is where the positives end. EC2 has released new instance types, specifically m5, since this image was last updated which are not supported. Attempts to manually migrate to other instance types have failed also. But now that I've deployed my fleet with this AMI, I'm stuck.
I just try to test using Wowza service about 1hour in Last month.. and i was stop EC2 & wowza,... but still charged again and again... What's problem on that? please cancel it.... It still charging....
I don't see an option to edit my previous review, so I'll just make it a comment. About a month after posting this review, Wowza added support for M5 instance types and fixed the broken upgrade path from 4.7 to 4.8. I would give it 4 stars now. I would still like to see support for GPU accelerated transcoding, not because it's something I think would be tremendously beneficial in my use case, but others probably would benefit and it just seems like a feature that should be there.
