What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can use all of the standard toolsets that work with MySQL, and they are interoperable which makes the life of an admin and user much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it confusing that some features only exist in MySQL vs MariaDB, as it makes the decision to use it difficult if you ever wish to migrate between the pieces of software.

We use this for our internal databases (intranet) in order to run certain pieces of open source software which require a database.

You do not really need to worry much about compatibility issues if you are already using MySQL.

I like this software because it is a solid and secure database, at the same time it is an improved version of MySQL, it has really powerful search engines for when you have a lot of information in the databases. It is also widely used in the company for our web projects because of the ease of integration it has with servers such as apache

I do not like that this software does not bring all the functions are fully documented, the same happens in the case of MySQL. But it is a software like a lot of potential, which is used in large projects and is superior to its competence

I was able to solve the speed of response when consulting content from a database, since it used to take longer, and thanks to the fast search engines of Maria DB can be consulted in tables with large amounts of data without having to take time. Finally this software is helping us to develop various applications in the cloud, which without the help of this software were very slow and heavy applications when using. This software has been a great tool for the company

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using maradb for over 5 years it hosts various websites and mail servers that I run. I really like how reliable it is. It is also very easy to use. I have used a lot of databases and i feel that this one is by far the most reliable. Install it setup your schema and away it goes!
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't much to not like, but if i had to be picky it would be connecting it to a mail server. If you are a newbie then you will really need to read into how to use the DB, although once you have done this once you won't forget it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By putting a database like this into your environment you will soon realise just how reliable and solid this is
Way better than MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
It supports all of the features we need out of a relational database, and it is faster than MySQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not natively support storing and querying JSON, instead we have to build logic into our application to work with JSON.

We use MariaDB as an alternate to MySQL, as it is faster. We use it for storing all of our relational data to build custom applications, and to run Wordpress sites.

He really considers that he has a lot of tools, his constant updates and for this I think he has nothing that disgusts me. Since it is a tool with great potential for the use that is being given to the company

We solve the problems of connection to the database access to large amount of information easily and quickly. Previously with MySQL it was a bit slower the way to make queries to the database, now it is much faster. In turn, the migration made from MySQL is really simple ,because we have done migration work on clients and they are also extremely satisfied

I believe that any company that has any website or web applications should use this database, since it is very fast and excellent to handle large data flows. I recommend it to all my colleagues. At the same time it is very easy to integrate to any website, and it is also easy to migrate from MySQL to MariaDB.

I really thought it was the easiest database to incorporate in to my virtual machines. I felt like there were tons of documents on the web to help with any issues that arose.

I can't think of anything I disliked. Maria DB worked really well.
