Great Backend Service!
What do you like best about the product?
Love the UI and custom business logic section. They also provide a good amount of languages for their API.
What do you dislike about the product?
The servers have gone down a few times and it's been frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating applications for people impacted by chronic heath conditions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend it if you're looking for a good backend cloud service. It works great and is intuitive to use.

The best codeless ever
What do you like best about the product?
Basically, you can build the most complicated applications without knowing how to write code. Everything is intuitive and logical. I tried other platforms to build my applications but they are limited or very expensive, but most of all it is not possible to let you build and charge you only after you put the application in production.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that there is still no way to build an Android or IOS application directly. And I don't like it when the server crashes. It is true that it has been falling less and less lately
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solved my problem with the application necessary for the development of my business. Application that I am constantly developing according to the specifications that appear permanently.

What do you like best about the product?
The support is always there and they go a step beyond to help the customer with any issue they might face. any feature you think is needed just ask and they are always listening. I like how the security level and customization are setup. you have truly anything you could need at your hands with ACL.
the feature I use the most is codeless. it's so easy to visualize the whole flow of the logic with blocks and make changes as you see needed and you dont have to worry about missing a semicolon or a typo.
and the other great feature is the ability to integrate any node module. the sky is the limit here.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I never faced a situation where I felt i can't achieve a goal because of Backendless stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to develop the full backend of a high complexity mobile app without the need to combine multiple backend solutions. and i was working on the project alone it wasn't an issue at all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
try it. you will not regret it. one of the best choices i made and i have published my product so I have gone through all the steps to release a product with Backendless.

Easy to use and clear documentation. The help forum is very useful too.

Sometimes the server is down for no obvious reasons, even though just for a few minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For storing data and managing basic business logics. It's easy and clear to use backendless for this purpose.

We used backendless to replace a homegrown license management system and it has dramatically simplified customer management.

Save time and cost by utilizing Backendless' development services. They are very efficient and obviously experts on the platform.
Very powerful no-code solution with great service
What do you like best about the product?
The Backendless team have put together an extremely powerful plateform. It makes for easier and faster development with very few constraints and a lot of possibilities. Whether front-end design or database and API, or even server-side code, it's all possible, in multiple programming languages, but most importantly with Codeless, their home-grown visual logic design. But that's not all, the team is always there to help customers and they provide very reactive support, even to users like me who have started designing their product but not launched yet. I haven't started paying Backendless yet, and they have provided a lot of quality help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have discovered Backendless only 6 months ago, and judging from the support forums, the product has gained a lot of maturity in the last years. There are still some enhancements which could make the developer's work easier and faster, like being able to copy-paste from one component or page to another, and importing external data in a more user-friendly fashion. But the team is working on it and they are getting there. The platform is already pretty mind-blowing ! Also, the written documentation is sometimes lacking. There are tons of videos but I prefer reading to video-watching.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backendless enables me to set up an entire database and API in a snap, without having to deal with any infrastructure or scaling issues. The UI builder and their Codeless tools enable me to prototype and build an end product faster than if I had to code it all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly suggest doing the initial "missions", which makes getting up to speed faster.

Have most of the services required for a small or medium application size

The way to extract information from data tables, sometimes is not easy as a relational database. Also, at the beginning in my development, some functionalities (like push notifications for Android and Apple) doesn't work properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy way to deliver Augmented reality to our customers to sell different kinds of products like shoes, cloth, etc. When I analyzed the platform at the design time, Backendless offered Unity support, that was the key point to select the cloud provider

The data storage is something to consider, if the data is complex, probably you will need another service

UI Builder, it makes it very easy for a non-coder to build an application with a lot of complex logic and good design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Publishing to native app is difficult at the moment, and doesn't seem easily achievable for a non-coder
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The cost and speed of software development done in a traditional manner with an in house team or consultants is too much for many startups and you have to make many compromises to build an MVP, in our case there were so many compromises that it wasn't of much value. With Backendless there is no compromise, as a startup founder you can build the app exactly as you need it to perform.

It will take time to learn how it works, so prepare for a learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
Backendless takes a huge chunk of the uncertainty of backend infrastructure out of the equation when starting a new app project, it scales with your app and provides a very useful api that can be leveraged easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had quite a few occasions where we need to escalate to support because of various code that didn't work on the backendless side, especially when developing server-side apis in Java. That said, the support team are always on hand via slack and the support forum and generally fix issues pretty quickly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using backendless we created a venue finding app in the UK that leveraged backendless's unlimited scaling infrastructure and super handy location-based query ability in the db.

What do you like best about the product?
As a software engineer and architect with 25+ years of experience, I am blown away by how powerful, comprehensive, feature-rich, and well-designed Backendless is, from end to end. From UI development, to API services, to the database, to overall performance and scalability, the platform supports and caters to every stage of the application lifecycle, as well as every level of expertise. Beyond offering an incredible platform, the team offers stellar support with fast turnarounds, as well as great training content. We've been developing our application(s) at lightning speed with Backendless and couldn't be happier with the one-stop platform. We're not looking anywhere else for our app development needs. Strongly recommended!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to find anything we dislike about the platform, however I would love to see improved capabilities around multi-language support, client-side debugging, backend stored procedures, long-running tasks, and platform documentation. This being said, the team is super proactive with their roadmap, and very attentive to developer needs, so I expect we'll see nice improvements in the coming months and years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid application development, reduced reliance on highly-specialized developers, and scalability. We're achieving our goals on all fronts. Business execution and performance is on the up and up!
