What do you like best about the product?
It seamlessly integrates with existing infrastructures, monitors system states concurrently, and offers easy-to-follow documentation. What do you like best about the product?
It is very wel written configuration management tool and very good to have for writing system configurations. It can very easily integrate with cloud based platforms.The best part is we can run it in client/server mode

Written in pure domain specific Ruby language which can be difficult sometimes for users who don't know much about this language

What do you like best about the product?
Progess Chef can easily deploy your infrastructure with complete automation. You can deploy your Infra on any of the OS platform like Windows, MAC etc. Best thing about Progress chef is that it deploy your infra with best security. you can deploy your infra in cloud also. you can easily up-scale and down-scale your infra with easy commands only. Now a days configuration management is hard for other products but Chef makes in very easy. it is very easy to implement. it can be used easily with any existing infra . system states are monitered in parallel. documentaion is set up is very easy and user friendly. Now a days infra setup is tedious task but Progress Chef makes it very easy. You can easly learn about Chef Inspec and Chef workstation and can implement in your organization. If any company has complex infra then i would recoomnd to try to Progress chef for IAAC. you can easliy use policy based approach to define user access and make your infra more secure. Customer support team is good and they have 24*7 support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Progress Chef is very secure for IAAC so i would recommand this for any kind of organiztion. They should add more user freindly dashbaord for infra monitering. Currently it works awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Set up Infra for big orgnization is difficlt task. Progress Chef makes it very easy with Automation. You can easily define policy and provide user roles access to make the infra more secure. Progress chef is plaform indendent which makes our code to be hosted in any OS systems. Progress Chef gives good cost optimization to use the network resource and it saves a huge infra cost.

Progress Chef sounds like a fascinating concept! It seems like a tool or platform designed to help individuals or businesses in the culinary field track their progress and improve their skills. I think what I'd like best about it is the potential for continuous growth and learning it offers. Being able to see your progress over time and identify areas for improvement can be incredibly motivating and helpful in mastering any skill, including cooking.

Nothing as of now. As it's covered all required features.

TestKitchen to test everyrecipe before deploying, manages hugs scale, stability Infra server provides and Inspec 6 parallel scan feature

Can be better for Windows clients, Chef automate should be easier to install

The most helpful aspect of Chef is its ability to automate and manage infrastructure as code.
Chef supports various operating systems and cloud platforms, making it versatile for managing heterogeneous environments.
I like the features for auditing and ensuring compliance with security policies. It helps organizations maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure.
And I like a chef-automate dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Proper testing of cookbooks is crucial, and setting up a testing environment can require additional effort. Some colleagues find the testing and development process more involved compared to simpler tools.
Lack of documentation or may lack real-world examples for practical scenarios.

I use Chef for post-build installation and configuration of software, significantly reducing the time required during server setup
