Very good tool for email protection.
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful antispam, antivirus and antimalware with FortiSandbox is a key part of Fortinet innovative advanced threat protection solution. Excellent real time dashboards, reporting, central quarantines and end user controls. Always keeps high performance virtual appliance, the organization very satisfied with the solution and the implementation was easy. It is very useful in the current time that the number of wakes in emails has increased, with attacks by pishing, social engineering and among others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Web UI for mobile devices are not so friendly and efficient for mobility situations, there are applications for example FortiExplore is for payment. It was very important to improve the compatibility with different devices, related to the administration of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit that was achieved with FortiMail is the stop of attack against spam, the tool has a correct analysis to detect and analyze that mail is spam or not. The administration is very easy, the classification that remains in quarantine is very convenient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good brand and with good growth in recent years, the Fortinet solutions in general is very good with the integration of architectures with different manufacturers. The administration interfaces and the implementation is very easy. The best thing is that the tool has its self-learning that identifies which are the emails are trustworthy and which are malicious, the integration with FortiSandBox also adopts a great value for the analysis of attached files.

Advanced and Secure Emailing Tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Don't risk losing your emails because of using a poor emailing agent. FortiMail is the ideal software, one which is safe, and accommodates emails from different sources. Also, FortiMail has the spamming feature, which ensures that no email which has malicious intent get to our mail box.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, FortiMail fails to send large files, and even when they are zipped, the tool takes time to accept. Possibly, the vendor should make the app more compatible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The security of the emails that we receive is significant, and we must ensure that they get stored in a place that is well outlined. FortiMail is an email gateaway, which we value and apprehend.

Execution is very straight forward. Complements other tools like Splunk quite quickly.

The interface does not work and does the trick as glamorous or polished as its rivals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our organization we have deployed the FortiMail Cloud solution and it is quite successful. The alternative is to buy an annual subscription in one, two or three years. The longer the rise, the lower the price, of course. FortiMail blocks emails very effectively. We have rendered proof with Proofpoint and FortiMail for idea checking. Our performance in filtering was almost equal to that of both. Fortimail, however, was one-third the cost. To stick to their solution is so much lower risk. I believe Proofpoint had a few other features in addition, but the price argument was not worth it.

Create a POC with other ideas to see if it suits the company well.

I love Fortimail since I can configure it easily. It also helps me to filter spam effectively, in addition to quarantining potential spam for later review. I also like it because malware also attacks it in a timely manner. Simply put, it helps me protect my email from potential threats. In addition to this it is easy to handle and very flexible in every function.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the quarantine should check your more accurately, since sometimes there are emails that are there and are not spam. They should also invest a little in guides, tutorials and news about the program. It should be noted that updates are made not as recurring as previous months.

This software has been very important for us as it strengthens and shields our emails. We feel more confident and confident that we can use and log in emails. FortiMail is easy of deployment and manageable. If you have fortinet solutions like Fortigate and Fortisandbox in your environment. FortiMail integrates easily with these systems and provides greater security.

Apart from minor UI changes for ease of use, product does pretty good job, what it is meant to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FortiMail integrates with FortiSandbox and Fortigate, enabling more security controls to be active. Sandbox integration of suspicious links and files received by mail is analyzed and malicious mails are prevented from reaching the user inbox.

If your infrastructure consists of Fortinet solutions, FortiMail will be the right solution.
Needs more work
What do you like best about the product?
It has cut down on some of our phishing emails and ceo fraud attempts.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still getting a lot of phishing emails and CEO fraud emails to many users. I'm not sure if it needs more detailed configuration or the software isn't as smart at I though it was.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users need to be very limited to the amount of phishing and email threats they have been receiving in the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works to a certain degree. We have a vendor administering the product and I believe it would work better if the company IT Admin would. This way you can keep up with consistent changes and additions. I'm hoping it just needs more time to learn our environment. The last 30 days hasn't been too promising.

The amount of features and settings available for email scanning.

Setup can be very cumbersome. Some settings need to be continually tweaked to get the best performance from the system.
