AWS needs to update this AMI
Works great but AWS needs to update this AMI so that the version of Nessus is at least 7.1.3 and above. I was unable to update Nessus. Per Tenable, it's not possible to update Nessus if launched from this AMI.

This statement above is no longer valid and the link in the comment is no longer active. This scanner will auto update if you linked it correctly to your Tenable.io account. Review the settings of your Tenable.io admin portal and you'll see the auto updates. Updates that do need to be applied are the Amazon Linux OS security patches, which are best done via Systems Manager and Patch Management. An Amazon SSM agent is deployed with this AMI, so it should be visible in your SSM console.
