User friendly
What do you like best about the product?
easy to navigate for all my reports. Comparisons of my reports is simpler

Comparisons of Actuals, forecast and budget. Makes analysis simpler

What do you like best about the product?
The client module. It is straightforward and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin module. It is not easy to use and easily gets into a mess.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Budgeting tool and reporting. We are poised to use it for budgeting for our next cycle but the reporting is still not being used.

What do you like best about the product?
Financial Budgeting and reporting Model is user friendly. The functionality to drill down to the details of the transactions gives management more information at their finger tips . The ability to export reports into excell for the users. The fact that all the information required is availible in one system , financial and non financial. It easy to effect changes on the forecast and keep track of the changes with the notes so that all users are aware.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up of user access in every fiscal set and layout setups .
The moving of cost centres have to be done for the user in every set , this is time consuming especiall if there are alot of cost centres. There layout sets - it would be nice to have notes on how to set up different layouts. Manages have requested a Dash board , there are no notes as to how to set this up .
The printing of from the screen, the entire page doesnt print .

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset reporting , all assets are verified by managers in their departments , cuts out the paper work to the Finance team. I have trained my managers in Botswana and Namibia on how to use IDU and they now have acess to the financial information which helps my team to work more effeciently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is a user friendly tool, gives the required information , saves time and is efficient and also intergrates into other financial reporting systems.

What do you like best about the product?
IDU give you the ability to view your financial data in the most effective and simplistic way possible. This software can be used by everyone (including a non-financial user). No more sending out multiple excel files & checking budget excel files; now we have one source, which multiple users can work at the same time & information is trusted (up to the most detailed level).
What do you dislike about the product?
Fiscal sets are very independent, although you can integrate & synchronize them, I would enjoy a central base where you make & update account information/scructures once and it is copied everywhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple format of Financial reporting for the non-financial users to have information at the tip of their fingers. Ease of budgeting for non-financial users. Analytics model gives you the ability to have have live data in any format all the time. Makes basic reconciliation and data integrity checks very easy.

What do you like best about the product?
All companies have different needs and requirements when it comes to budgeting. IDU is the complete budgeting system which no company can do without. Budgeting use to be a nightmare especially consolidating the all divisions and branches.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike however if we could make a suggestion to improve it would have been to increase the "excel functionality", however this is not a big issue as you are able to export into excel if needed.

Consolidation of budgets is the biggest benefit.
Decreased the budget process tremendously and should see an even bigger improvement as users get more comfortable with the system.

IDU is a great tool for both Financial Budgeting and Financial Reporting.
What do you like best about the product?
IDU is very easy to understand and user-friendly especially for non-finance people. Ever since I started using IDU in 2014 Budget iterations and version controls are more efficient as compared to Excel spreadsheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if one can be able to select multi Cost Centres or different Cost Centre codes at the same time, perhaps an analytics functionality can solve this problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managers are making more informed decisions as they have real time access to the financial information of their respective functions. This has resulted in reduced Planning and Operational Inefficiency Variances.

Budgeting - we are a big multi company user and we are able to budget by person for +- 27000 people. Consolidating and building budget structures is a breeze. able to fit into any CRM you may use with real time data all the time.

There is nothing that I dislike very easy to use user friendly system.

Creating structures in admin module is sometimes complex.

Budgeting and Forecast time frames has reduced drastically.

What do you like best about the product?
One place, with one version of the truth, and all changes are immediately available in the relevant views.
What do you dislike about the product?
The detail of the budget break out per line item does not export. Only totals are exported. Also doing different scenarios are challenging in IDU.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Budget process is far more efficient and we have given ownership and visibility back to the budget owners.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, efficient and short implementation required, on-site with client involved every step of the way. This also served as "training" and knowledge transfer on how the system operates and how it should be maintained. We find their helpdesk to be one of their biggest strengths, with efficient client specific assistance almost immediate. The possibility of multiple, different, structures, both for reporting and budget presentation is something to first grasp, but it is very powerful.

Not much to dislike, some newly added functionality that does not form part of the standard package could be a costly add-on.
