I use BO to create and refresh reporting for inventory management
What do you like best about the product?
Charting and Excel-like reporting - BO interacts well with excel, which is useful for non-BO users to understand what is being shared
What do you dislike about the product?
Restrictive with modifications - I am not sure if it is our current setup, but it is very difficult to modify a report that is created by another producer, especially after they have left the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using business objects in my role to create if-then reporting so that we can update the system for accurate information sharing, as well as monitor inventory and service levels throughout our distribution network in order to act as proactively as possible to avoid issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use the power of the BI tools, crystal reports and ease of publishing reports in the BO platform. Integration with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office :Excel , Word
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration documentation scarcity some trial error necessary depending on ones environment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having an insight into our business, easily locate any type information from any source. Publish the report the entire organization has access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The users experience and learning curve is negligible. The integration with Microsoft Office products is a huge plus. Use excel pivot tables as your front analysis tied into business objects backend

SAP business objects begins to make sense and seems intuitive after using it for a while

Initially downloading, registering, etc. seemed to take me a lot longer than expected, and finally getting the hang of the program seemed longer than it should have been

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to navigate and filter through.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't let me run a report based on the previous calender year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to review sales for the week, run contest reports, run brand product reorders, sales reports, and more,

What do you like best about the product?
The program is easy to use and navigate. There are multiple reports already made, saved in easy-to-find folders. What adds the most value is the fact that you can go in and run your report, edit the fields, filter as needed, and then save the data to your favorites folder so it will just be a quick refresh next time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when there are many records the program will run slowly. This happens with most programs, so it's not really an issue. Just be cognizant of how much data is needed and try to filter it down to decrease time spent waiting for an export.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how all the reports I need to do my job are in one database. I can go to the database, and I can type in a few key words and find a report that will most likely give me what I need. This has really helped me do my job and makes it easier to interact and provide for my customer what they need on a daily basis. It's a great tool that I would recommend. It's helped me get ahead. I also do project work in my role, and I can find reports that support that function as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
When connecting through a VPN, the program can run at a snail's pace. This makes it difficult to do my job, because I'm wasting my time by waiting for a report to run. I'd say if I had a faster system, there would be less worries in my daily use with this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving a need for data for my customer. I can find all of the relevant data I need to make presentations, provide reports, and help boost sales numbers. I work for a large company, so there is a wealth of knowledge. The reports that are created and put on BI&A for us to run really add to the knowledge base of all employees, since we can type in a few key words and get the information that we need in some form or another.

It's a great software for pulling the data you need.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates and work flow process also like the fact that is was accessible in Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process itself requires a certain amount of computer logic by the users which isn't the case with most sales executives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part of the was ease to access previous quotes for clients made by any previous sales executive if they have left the business made it easy for management to just pick up where they left off.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work on the over all process and try to involve as many as the end users as possible allowing them to be part of the process building not only gives them more ownership on their part but also allows the process to flow a little easier for the end users. Also add as much information about your product as possible and maintain them as best you can, once a lot of products are involved it become combersome.

The ability to increase profitability and maintain cash flow is made much easier. The education services it offers is also very beneficial for customers. It aids the efficiency of business intelligence projects. It is easy to use for physical data storage and front-end reporting.
