Good Tool for Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
able to create and modify custom reports, set up auto delivery schedule to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
difficult to work in, especially if you don't do it frequently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
custom data reports from multiple systems.

powerful reporting tool but with poor UI and dynamics
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about SAP Business Objects is the reporting architecture.
The universes are best part you can think of for building any reporting framework.
even if you do not have separate reporting database, universes are like building your virtual reporting DB(if you can afford reporting load on your application database).
we use if a lot for reporting on all enterprise applications and this tool helps a lot on analytics.
the other supporting tools like BODS etc. helps build a better reporting environment.

now since the reporting and analytics needs highly responding UI, Business Objects lags in this.
the end user data massaging is pretty slow and bulky.

What do you like best about the product?
Established systems and building platform. Very strong structured reporting for regular output
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to change options. Requires specialised expertise. Not end user flexible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Structured Reporting of monthly results. Once the reports were built it was easily produced each month
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not a good platform for end user reporting or data discovery and investigation. If you are producing regular, static unchanging reports, (e.g. monthly performance) this provides a good solution and integrates well with other SAP products
