Informatica is a Best ETL tool,User freindly and selef descriptive.

What do you like best about the product?
Tool is very user friendly and you have very flexible features.
each and every component or transformation is so deltailed that you can use it easily and help content is so detailed that eit will explain each and every step.
scheduling the jobs are very easy and you can rely on sceduling jobs.

Management features of Informatica PowerCenter do not include metadata management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are very satisafied with Informatica on-Premise powercenter solution. However, we experienced issues with Informatica BDM solution. Informatica did not have enough expertise in handling some of the issues. It had to go to R&D to get fixes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Able to access heterogeneous databases: It can work with any kind of database available in the market. In fact, it can be applied to NoSQL databases as well. SQL override allows users to write simple to complex queries inside mapping for performance tuning the load process, pre and post SQL can help control the load process to get desired outputs.Error handling techniques: Informatica provide a suite of options to handle errors. From logging error in database tables to e-mail notifications with log files, to decision/assignment tasks for data control, it can handle error at every stage of workflow. Restart options for batched work-flows.Debugging, is one other feature I found extremely useful. Before running a full load, you can run a subset of data from source-target and check for values generated from logic at every transformation.Informatica provides all the functions indexed in a proper fashion in expressions editor with syntax to allow users to build logic with ease.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and probably the best ETL tool I have worked on. It is very convenient to create reusable and non reusable task depending on the user needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few bugs in the tool which can be fixed. It is slow in sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as ETL tool. It helps in cleansing the source data very easily and load into target table. To remove unnecessary data in source data so that process can be fastened.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If the source data is huge then Informatica is preferable to use as it is unnecessary to purchase if your company has small data when we compare with pricing for relative ETL tools. You can get the visual pictures of metadata, data flow and throughput within no time.

It's so easy to develop data integration mappings using Informatica Power Center. It can be used to access data from heterogeneous source file systems. So easy to maintain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Developers are provided with very limited access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we use Informatica Power Center to integrate data from TV Nielsen and various digital platforms like Hulu, FoxNOW & VOD. The cost of data integration has been reduced a lot because it is so easy to provide business solutions using this tool.

A product that will help to save millions of development cost.

What do you like best about the product?
It is one of the best segment of the tools that worked. It is among the best in the market and is very well regarded by all professionals who know her. The best feature of the tool is in my opinion the performance. Very good with large volumes of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like other tools framework for integration of large volumes of data, it has a layered architecture that is not very simple for any industry analyst begin to develop. It requires little learning time.

I worked with integration between two databases to a system upgrade.

One thing i don't like is you have to close and open the folders to see the changes reflected.
