great machine learning toolkit for data scientist and resercher
What do you like best about the product?
Weka represents a high-level solution for software maturity and brilliant results that have captured the attention of a vast scientific community.
Weka contains an advanced collection of machine learning algorithms and preprocessing techniques. Weka was designed to test different existing methodologies on data sets, quickly and flexibly; in fact, it provides support for the entire data mining experimentation process: the preparation of input data, the statistical evaluation of learning schemes, the graphic visualization of input data and the learning outcomes.

What do you dislike about the product?
Weka runs inside the JVM therefore some models of machine learning are not performing as in a native application: sometimes it is important to obtain classification results as quickly as possible and weka is not the best choice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The libraries contained in weka were used to train an automatic learning model for automatic classification of texts for a mail routing application.

consider to use knowledge flow for design complex workflow for knowledge discovery in databases process.

The best data mining tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy is to use Weka, and the flexibility it provides by accepting multiple formats from multiple sources when reading data. The data can come from files or databases. From an individual stand point, Weka is free and open source, it can be extended and use in multiple programming languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how for commercial purposes, Weka is not free. It requires you to purchase licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Weka to predict and compare users shopping patterns.

I would definitely recommend Weka for data mining and machine learning purposes.

What do you like best about the product?
Weka is great for machine learning analysis, it is a very powerful tool. It is simple to import a data set and generate graphics such as a neural network for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface feels quite ancient and it can take some digging around to figure out where everything is. However, after you get over the initial learning curve, it's not to bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Weka for some decision tree and neural network problems
