Acumatica community assists in hearing user ideas
What do you like best about the product?
Most fields have Defaults you can select to save data entry, foreign currency for purchases, customize notifications/emails, P&L can be allocated to different brands, employees, divisions, etc., can set-up recurring AP transactions and JE's, can export most info to Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Besides our consultants, help section and ACU community, it would be nice to have access to specific training; setting up Roles is very cumbersome and difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica is helping us have visibilty into sales that are short shipped showing our Purchasing department needed demand. One of the BEST efficiencies provided was the use of ACH NACHA AP payments and the creation of an ACH NACHA file to simply export from ACU and import to a bank - saves a ton of time in AP!

What do you like best about the product?
Integrations and intuitive nature make it easy for onboarding and training of new staff
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes getting support can be hit or miss. Integration company is key to success
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are more productive with easy entry and automated journal entries between different companies and divisions within the organization.
Excellent platform offering great visibility to company data
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of access from desktop or mobile app, physical inventory count module is great, Approval workflows are excellent, customizable views and filters for each user, auto allocation of LOTs, pre-allocating inbound POs to SOs via PO linking is excellent
What do you dislike about the product?
Shipping Charge Rules are limited, Business Events don't consistently execute on time, Permissions are highly complicated, CRM is clunky. These don't outweigh the system's pros, but it's best to let your reseller handle permission setups and business events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compared to previous systems, we can process a large volume of orders with fewer people due to automated processes. We also have a lot of controls in place, whether it's workflow approvals or automated email notifications, to catch common issues that may arise.

What do you like best about the product?
At the very beginning of this integration i struggled. But six months into it I am happy with how things have turned out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I havent had to ask for a ton of support. the one thing I would say needs to be a bit better is the time it takes for them to respond.

Time in responding to tickets and issues

What do you like best about the product?
Acumatica is easy to use and gives us the visibility we need. The software scales with our business and is personalized to work best for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet learned Acumatica's back end customizations, and utilize our third party partners for any requests I have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are running multiple businesses within the software, and switching between them, or doing comparison reports is so easy.
Accumatica functionalities
What do you like best about the product?
There are focus modules around payroll, financial management,project accounting within the Accumatica suite. Also, the reporting and analytics along with multi-tenant design for their cloud is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to SAP, Accumatica seems to not have too much emphasis around SQL syntax like SAP does. Accumatica may be little easier to use and as a result, it sacrifices on the detail at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping to create custom views of the data while in turn focusing on what to include for capital budgeting and use cases in finance. Acumatica also is tying nicely well in the cloud.

What do you like best about the product?
ONCE WE START USING IT FOR EVERYTHING THAT IT IS INTENDED, I'M HOPING THAT IT WILL ELIMINATE ALL THE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS I HAVE TO OPEN TO GET ALL THE INFORMATION I AM LOOKING FOR.
What do you dislike about the product?
WHEN I'M SEARCHING FOR PROJECTS FOR MY REGION, EVERY TIME I OPEN ONE OF THEM, I HAVE TO START MY SEARCH OVER WHEN I'M FINISHED. IT WOULD BE MORE EFFICIENT IF IT WENT BACK TO WHERE I WAS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ELIMINATING THE NEED TO USE 3 OR MORE PROGRAMS TO GET THE SAME INFORMATION. THIS WILL SAVE SO MUCH TIME THAT COULD BE SPENT DOING SOMETHING MORE PRODUCTIVE. EVERYTHING I NEED IN ONE PLACE
Heavily Customized ERP
What do you like best about the product?
We are retail brokers, and there is no standard ERP to fit our business. The most challenging part in building our customization was switching between customers and vendors - we charge vendors with service fees and share a part of it with our customers. We needed our own Sales Orders and Payments screens, as well as many and many additional fields in standard form. Acumatica has great framework to do any possible customization. Also, all the available training, online in Open University,training provided on annual Summits, Cloud Developers Conference and some other sources allowed us to became masters in own customized Acumatica ERP.
What do you dislike about the product?
We need improvement in the reporting tools, it’s nice to see great improvement I generic, looking forward for improved pivot tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Acumatica we were able to replace custom legacy system, and still working in converting several applications into Acumatica. The benefit of it would be data integrity and simplified user interfaces.
Better System All Around
What do you like best about the product?
I had been recommending NetSuite for a while until I met a colleague who knew a lot about Acumatica. I had known about Acumatica before, but just not in very much depth. He explained all of the ways Acumatica had passed up the old leaders, and I was thoroughly impressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I think that Acumatica's biggest problem in the US is that not enough people know about it unless you are very familiar with the finance & accounting software solutions out there. I think that if the word got out more (at least where I'm from in the Western US region), people would realize how good the product is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think that Acumatica is solving many problems. Still, a couple of those are: the way the data structure is set up allows for a smoother and often shorter implementation time and easier customizations, and the biggest one for me is that you own your data.
A very intuitive system in constant improvement.
What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive and easy to use and learn, also the functionality and usability are very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really dislike the functionality of the system, maybe an opportunity of development is to keep adding more vertical-oriented functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The system makes really simple to deploy and update an environment without much technical involvement. This reduces the time of a new project setup.
