Intuitive Sales Order Process, but Room for Improvement

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy the sales orders are implemented and how I can search for any specific word that is in an order detail. What really stands out to me is how intuitive the sales order process is from start to finish. Creating and implementing an order doesn’t feel like a chore; it’s straightforward, clean, and doesn’t require jumping through unnecessary hoops. That alone saves time and reduces errors, especially when things are moving fast. The search functionality is a game-changer. Being able to search for any specific word or detail inside an order means I can instantly find what I’m looking for without digging through multiple screens or relying on memory. Whether it’s a customer note, a product reference, or a custom detail, it’s all immediately accessible. Net result: less time hunting, more time executing, and better visibility across the board. That efficiency is what makes Acumatica genuinely valuable in day-to-day operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some workflows feel more complex than they need to be, especially for new users, and there's a bit of a learning curve. Certain screens aren’t always as intuitive as the sales order side of the system. Reporting and data extraction can also be a challenge, as getting data into a clean, usable format sometimes takes more steps than expected. Performance can feel inconsistent, particularly when running searches or reports with a lot of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica helps locate unknown problems and targets marketing to the right clientele. The intuitive sales order process saves time and reduces errors. The search feature allows quick access to specific order details, improving efficiency and visibility.

Great custom reports & inquiries, but business event automation feels limited

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to customize reports and business events for automation. The generic inquiry feature has been a great help to build some specific data views that our business needs to run. We have been able to implement Acumatica in a relatively quick time frame and it hasnt dramatically impacted business performance or accounting. We have been using Acumatica everyday since implementation and our business partner has been a wonderful support to any challenges that we face.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the business events but I also find them limited by the screens that are available to automate. If there was an ability to automate any screen that would be a huge upgrade and allow for so much additional workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory tracking, production tracking, and additional accounting automation.

What do you like best about the product?
Information is easily accessible. I can navigate easily while on the phone with customers or sales reps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our system is sometimes slow due to the number of transactions and API calls we are doing. We have a lot of users doing large imports or pulling a huge amount of data at any given time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica is putting all of our data in one place and helping to streamline our processes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Acumatica for its system flexibility and efficient workflows. I appreciate the access to real-time data which really helps in managing our operations smoothly. The out-of-the-box reports are another feature I like as they simplify the reporting process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the payroll module in Acumatica needs more focus. Specifically, the time entry process could be simplified, from entry to the execution of payment and reports.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Acumatica for dashboard reporting, automation schedules, and business events. It helps track various metrics on one screen, allowing me to create different GIs and put them in a dashboard, which helps the management and leadership teams get a better understanding of their business. Automation schedules and business events help in avoiding manual work and errors, and are time-consuming and effective in streamlining the entire business process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some upgrade features like timecard dates being auto-selected to the current week frustrating. It used to default to the next timecard but now defaults to the current period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica to streamline the entire business process, avoid manual errors with automation, and track various metrics at a glance through dashboards. It helps management understand the business better and saves time with automation schedules.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Acumatica for its modular customization, which includes low code/no code customizations. I also find GI customizations helpful for creating custom reports. The benefits of being cloud-based played a significant role in our decision to switch.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find financial period reporting and project-level balance sheet reporting challenging. Report writing seems to require a VAR, which is a hassle. The initial setup was messy, and it created many errors in data integrity and duplication of data. Module setup and configuration weren't well advised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica for financial reporting and project performance management.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Acumatica for its interactive user interface, which contrasts sharply with our previous experience using Sage that was on a server, had limited users, and was very difficult to navigate. I like that Acumatica constantly upgrades to adapt to user requests, providing new reports and a project dashboard, and making it easy to export to Excel for further use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that some reports are only date-specific and not period-specific, which is important for financial reporting. The initial setup was not easy; it was a very complex and painful process through our consultant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica's interactive user interface solves navigation issues with previous systems, allowing multiple users and easier transaction detail exploration.

Seamless Integration and Accurate Insights with Acumatica

What do you like best about the product?
I use Acumatica for my resort business, particularly appreciating its accounting features and inventory reconciliation. I find it helps with accuracy and timely financials. I also like the integration with other software, especially how it works with ADP for turnover stats on room costs. The setup process is almost done and has been straightforward with no problems. I'm so satisfied, I'd rate my likelihood to recommend Acumatica a 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I must request funds from a foundation. When completing this information I must fill out a capital request. This is the first process of starting the approval process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica for accuracy and timely financials, integrating with other software for stats on room costs.

Flexible, Stable, Yet Setup Challenges Persist

What do you like best about the product?
I use the Acumatica CRM and all of the accounting features related to project accounting, revenue recognition, month-end job costing, and timesheets. I like the stability of the program and, in particular, the flexibility to customize it. I think Velixo is genius and a perfect pairing to get the data out of Acumatica in a form everyone in our company can use without having to change the way they work.
What do you dislike about the product?
We struggle with revenue projections because we can't group projects together as a program, or create subtasks. We can't use the inventory IDs efficiently for our business. Because we are locked into using the inventory IDs for projecting revenue, we can't get the granularity we need. If we create too many tasks, our guys in the field and in engineering spend too much time on their time cards. The initial setup was awful. Our first partner was not helpful. We are with Crestwood now, but we still struggle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica CRM and accounting features, eliminating the need for spreadsheets for our financial data.
