Acumatica: Unified Platform with Customization Perks

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Acumatica for automation in sales, purchasing, time management, and administrative activities. It saves a lot of time for us and serves as a unified platform for all our offices to utilize. I appreciate the regular updates, integrations, and releases. I really like the customization options Acumatica offers—any view can be built for any use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the UI still looks dated, it can sometimes be slow or laggy when looking up information, and the support structure (requiring a VAR) is not my favorite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica for automation in sales, purchasing, time management, and admin activities, which saves us a lot of time. It's a unified platform for all offices.

Robust ERP with Room for Equipment Management Growth

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Acumatica is a true web-based program. The General Ledger automation and the easily accessed database are beneficial for our operations. We use Velixo to pull current data into spreadsheets, which can be refreshed, eliminating the need to export new data frequently followed by cleanup. This is a significant time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Fixed Asset module in Acumatica doesn't have Equipment Management capabilities, which is frustrating for us as a civil contractor with a fleet of heavy equipment. We need cost and revenue information for each piece of equipment, but the module doesn't support this need. It would be great to have an Equipment Management module to capture repairs and maintenance costs from accounts payable, depreciation from fixed assets, and equipment hours/revenues that have been applied to projects. This would help us get a profit and loss statement for each piece of equipment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica helps with project management, payroll, AP, AR, GL, and banking. The true web-based platform and accessible database save time by automating the General Ledger. Velixo integration pulls current data into spreadsheets, avoiding constant re-exports and cleanup.

Streamlined Banking with Smooth Setup

What do you like best about the product?
I like using the banking module in Acumatica because we can import our banking report daily, which helps speed up the bank reconciliation process. The system allows us to auto match the transactions after importing, saving a lot of time. Also, the initial setup was smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect that I couldn't use is the match to the invoice option within the banking process transaction. The system does not generate a transaction when trying to reconcile. Therefore, I would need to create a separate cash transaction for reconciliation purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica mainly for banking, financials, and construction modules. It streamlines our month-end close process and speeds up bank reconciliation by importing bank reports daily and auto-matching transactions, saving a lot of time.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Acumatica for its user experience, flexibility, and customization, which are especially beneficial for our employees who may not have much technology background. Acumatica allows them to quickly grasp the system and customize it to their ability. It's also great that Acumatica puts four systems into one, which means our teams don't have to work between multiple platforms but can do everything within a single application. Additionally, the setup on the Acumatica side was straightforward. I would highly recommend it, evidenced by a rating of 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
Shop Floor reporting is our biggest issue. This aspect could be expanded to allow us more reporting on shop floor functions. We are missing some capabilities such as shop floor utilization, late tracking, and materials usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica improves data reliability and accuracy and consolidates four systems into one, reducing the need to switch platforms. It also supports quick system grasping and customization by our Amish employees without much tech background.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very customizable and can be tailored to specific business needs. It can also be easily integrated with different 3rd party systems and other outside APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The slight interruption when publishing customization projects that can interrupt users who are logged in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica assists us well in being a source of truth for our financials as well as helping us with picking, packing and shipping from our distribution centers.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s customizable, enables fast reporting, it allows for business automations that can take the manual work out repeated processes

The UI does not feel as advanced as other, larger ERP’s. The dashboards can feel very clunky

What do you like best about the product?
I like the customizability of Acumatica. I'm able to adjust as needed for new inventory ID I create. The setup was easy as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the process of creating a quote and tracking when it’s created into a project could be improved. The setup was easy, but the execution was poor, and there was too much customization which was not good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica helps with BOM creation, operation process, and shipping.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Acumatica allows everything to be in one place and everyone has access to view everything. Our project managers, sales reps, and operations team can all see and utilize the information placed in the system, which is really helpful. The learning process was fast and quick for us, which was a big advantage too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it could scan items with a scanner into our inventory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Acumatica for inventory and order processing. It solves issues with finding inventory and creating POs. I like that everything is in one place, allowing all team members, including project managers, sales reps, and operations, to access and utilize the same information.
