Billing and "Trial" version
I wanted to check this product - choosing the trial version was a huge mistake. As now Elastic trying to take my money, despite the fact that I never used the product. At all. And no communication from the support or any billing support at all.
Why am I getting charged for the service I have never been able to use?
First of all, we apologize for the slow reply to your feedback. Your feedback matters to us. We're sorry about the confusion regarding your free trial. The 7-day free trial period allows you to deploy globally in minutes across any of the AWS regions Elastic supports. After 7 days, and several email reminders from Elastic that the trial period will be ending, usage charges are billed directly to your AWS account. Some trial users forget to cancel their trial or spin down their deployment and thus incur charges. Hopefully, we’ve been able to assist you with this.
