Can not use this in India. The Indian arm of AWS, known as Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL), does not provide this AMI.
Unfortunate. :(

@Amazon India -- please can this be sorted so that folks in India can perform this kind of development too. A couple of suggestions / thoughts: 1) Have AWS India (=AISPL) go ahead & implement this AMI on their platform 2) Find an alternative partner for AWS in India who would allow the above (or maybe look into launching a 100% owned Amazon / AWS entity in India) Just my 2p -- hope this gets resolved, though! :)
